That makes sense. But, I was amazed for a bit there!

I'm debating which event to choose. How long does the main event take? Or the lightweight skirmish? I want to do other things at GenCon, so I'm trying to balance my time.
The future of scape is players like us who support a community like this - with new maps, scenarios and events. Playing scape. Not buying scape...

The schedule will get announced shortly before tickets become available. The tournaments are usually 4 hours long, starting at 10 AM and 3 PM IIRC. The championship is 5 hours long on day 1, then day 2 is single elimination.

There is also usually one night event, plus open play at night. If you are trying to get time in the dealer hall, the night events can be a nice option.

Yeah, I'm already obsessively planning my time.

One planned event per day, then the rest drooling over everything else and demo games....

As I often tell people coming for the first time, you really could schedule absolutely nothing from 10 to 5 each day, and just spend that block of time in the dealer hall, demoing games nonstop. And that would be a really great way to spend the convention.

(Have I ever actually taken my own advice? Nope.)

Super stoked about going this year. Twill be my first time in attendance as well.
OG Heroscape collection completed on 6/21/2016!

The new collection begins...again...hopefully...at some point...maybe...CMON Renegade!

Every year at Indy I have said, "this year I am spending a day doing demos". Still has not happened. This year for sure!

Doubtful. More figures usually means longer run times and games being called for time.

So...it's been about 2 years, I think, since I was last logged in. I've been creeping a little bit now and again, but the busy college life has led me astray of being able to play the game. But, in a crazy turn of events, I'll be at GenCon, and will be doing my best to attend at least one Heroscape event, if not multiple.

Man, I missed this place.

OP updated!!

One thing to note is that Gen Con screwed up the titles of the events (I double checked to make sure I submitted them correctly and I did... phew!) They somehow put the event description in 10 of the events. I have e-mailed them. Hopefully they correct it before things go live in 2 weeks. I can't edit it myself any more. Ahh, the joys of working with the event staff at Gen Con...
