Re: The Book of Amanda Waller - Design Phase
That sounds like a nice selection of classes, Yodaking. What was the objection to Humans/Metahumans? It seemed like a reasonable list. Was someone important left off?
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

As to limiting it to Rogues, Outlaws, and Criminals, I'm not opposed to the idea, I just think the design would be more fun if left open. C3G: Taking Superheroes to a Whole New Level! Re: The Book of Amanda Waller - Design Phase
Karat, is naming 4 different classes okay? I wasn't sure if it would be thought of as too many and I couldn't find any precedence.
Bats, King Shark was left out for one and I really enjoyed his run in the Suicide Squad I read over this Christmas. Then some of the humans and meta humans available were a bit questionable from a theme standpoint. Viegon, it is a combination of the theme violation that takes place when you leave it open to any unique hero and the potential for abuse when someone figures out a combo of units that minimizes the risk some how. I'd also like to keep her points low and keeping her recruitment list in check should help keep her points down. |

Re: The Book of Amanda Waller - Design Phase
Well, Vampirism lists Undead, Androids, Constructs, and destructible objects, basically the same kind of restrictions so I don't see why not.
{Edit} You also might want to add in a Unique Hero restriction in on top of those just to play it safe. |

Re: The Book of Amanda Waller - Design Phase
Count me in favor of the unrestricted version. It has some theme breaks but I think it's an unnecessary part when you factor in the "cut and run" part of the power.

With the chance of them defecting I have no concerns with an unrestricted version. Sage is about the only way I can think of to mitigate it (Brainiac 5 but to get better than Sage you're really shooting yourself in the foot). Combining the two has similar results
Alternately you could build your suicide squad off of Dragon Man, Awesome Android, and others like this and then have Poision Ivy, Puppet Master, and Purple Man et al round out your squad. Also Captain Marvel who can swap teams is another decent call. ~Dysole, who thinks these are worth testing but doesn't see how they're necessarily broken My Twitch Channel where I play Scape and other things My YouTube Channel where the games get uploaded later Dysole's Draft Rankings Map Thread (Not responsible for psychic damage) Customs Battle Reports This sentence is seven words long. Re: The Book of Amanda Waller - Design Phase
How does this look?
NAME = AMANDA WALLER SECRET IDENTITY = NONE SPECIES = HUMAN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = ADMINISTRATOR PERSONALITY = DEFIANT SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 4 MOVE = 4 RANGE = 5 ATTACK = 3 DEFENSE = 3 POINTS = ? TASK FORCE X At the start of the game you may choose up to 4 Unique Heroes you control with the class of Criminal, Crime Lord, Outlaw, or Rogue and place a white IED Marker on each of their cards. Before any player takes a turn with a figure they control with your white IED Marker on its card, they must roll the 20-sided die. If they roll 1-5, that figure's turn immediately ends and they must choose an opponent to take control of that figure and its card. NECESSARY FAIL-SAFES When an opponent would take temporary or permanent control of a figure you control, you may immediately reveal an "X" Order Marker on this card to destroy that figure. STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT After revealing a numbered Order Marker on this card, instead of taking a turn with Amanda Waller you may take a turn with one card you control that has the class Agent and one card you control that has an IED Marker on their card. I tweaked the Task Force X power such that the IED marked figures must continue rolling and switching sides as long as they are still alive. In the Suicide Squad run I read she actually ordered Capt. Boomerang to fake betray her and switch sides so he could infiltrate another organization, he then switched back onto her side later in the run. She also lost control of HQ for a while but managed to pull her back into the fold eventually. So I thought it would be pretty cool to represent that by having the figures continue to switch loyalties through out the game. Last edited by Yodaking; April 26th, 2015 at 03:09 PM. |

Re: The Book of Amanda Waller - Design Phase
How well does that version of Task Force X cover known members of the Suicide Squad?

Some suggested wording tweaks (in most part to prevent weird mirror match issues). C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Amanda Waller - Design Phase
T, here is the added Crime Lords (7 UH). HQ is the one that really stands out for me as missing but the current insane devotion card wouldn't really play well outside of an insane build anyway so I'd like to see a HQ 2.0 get released at the same time that better reflected her post Joker career.
