Re: Public Design Workshop
I believe
@MrNobody
has a Leatherwing write up too, so he might want to compare. I have the mini, so would love to see the guy get done.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Public Design Workshop
Sea Legs is a cool title for sure. I have no attention span to read powers right now, or I'd comment on more.

Re: Public Design Workshop
Love this take. My one thought on streamlining would be that maybe Take a Punch and Brutality could be condensed into one sort of offensive/defensive brutality power to sell that theme? Maybe something like:

Cool first write-up! Love that you're staying on brand. Really dig the take on the pistol here. I'd probably use your pistol power and Nobody's Sea Legs. I could go either way on making him a full-on Pirate faction piece. I worry a little bit about undercutting Corsair with a strong bonding power. Might be more interesting for the faction if he came at leadership a different way. |

Re: Public Design Workshop
Captain’s Crew
After taking a turn with Captain Leatherwing, you may move up to 2 Unique Pirate Heroes you control up to 4 spaces each. After moving those figures, you may roll an unblockable attack die against a figure engaged with both chosen figures. If Captain Leatherwing is adjacent to a Unique Pirate Hero you control when receiving one or more wounds that would destroy him, you may place the wound markers on that Pirate instead. Maybe something like this would be fun. |

Re: Public Design Workshop
A lot of the Spacejammers want to be engaged so a mass movement power could maybe work out okay. Not against the idea of straight up bonding of some sort though, as previously said they aren't overly strong right now. Plus Corsair's bonding only triggers when he inflicts a wound, and he's kind of easy to take out, so it's not super reliable. A back-up or secondary bonding option that didn't overshadow him but instead complimented him would be what I preferred.
It will be nice to have a few more Pirates in general though to fill out the crew if anyone has any other Pirate ideas as well. I feel like Ch'od needs a bigger crew around so he can either drop the first team in position or drop the second team of reserves into the middle of the fight. A crew of 7-8 Pirates so you can have two different waves to work with would be great. |
