Albany, NY- April 13th casual scape!

Calling all heroes of Valhalla - battle it out at the Schenectady Wargamer's Association monthly game a thon on April 13! We will have at least 4 tournament-style maps, and one of them will be a 'themed' map that will offer a different challenge to test the mettle of our Heroscape regulars. Armies are typically in the 520 point range, but we are able to customize if you bring your own - no Marvel, please.

Also, we are planning on having a Heroscape tournament at the Council of Five Nations game convention on Columbus Day. More will be posted about this as the date nears.

Hey everyone:
Just to clarify some points regarding some questions I had (thanks, Alex for reaching out - I could not PM you back for some reason):

Just to clarify, the event on April 13th isn't a tournament, it's a casual game day at the Schenectady Wargamers Association in Schenectady from 11:00 - 4:00. Here is the website for us www.swa-gaming.org. We hold casual Heroscape events there just about every month, and it's been a blast - regularly have 3 - 4 maps going and well attended.


For the game-a-thons, first time players & students do not need to bring any $$. Regulars do pay a nominal fee as outlined on the SWA website ($4 for the 5-hour session).

The tournament I referred to will be held at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady on Columbus Day weekend in October. It is at the gaming convention "Council of Five Nations". We don't have the full details worked out on that yet.

For the tournament in October, regarding prizes and such, we're not 100% sure on how it will all work yet- still working out the details, but will most likely not have to bring in any entry prizes. Details to come soon.

The 520-point recommendation is for the game-a-thon on April 13th (casual play). For the tournament, we're not sure yet what form it will take - but at the game-a-thons, if you bring more than 520 points, there may be a player willing to customize his/her army to work with you..

Sorry, no customs for the game-a-thons nor the CoFN event. We're building up a regular set of players, and trying to keep things to the released sets for now. Having customs in the mix may confuse things for them.
