Crusaders!

Jandar is the only other army that I like as much as Einar. But, what I want to know is, where is Jandar's 50 point squad? As someone who studies the crusades and a fan of "Kingdom of Heaven", it ocurred to me that crusaders could easily be Jandar's first unit that relies more on numbers. Possibly... Human champion bonding, and then something like shield wall or an encircle attack? Haven't put much thought into it as of yet...

Re: Crusaders!

If they were a 50 point squad they would be unique more than likely.

Re: Crusaders!

If you're looking for a 50 point squad, there's the Tarn Viking Warriors, but they're unique, and obviously not crusdaers. As far as crusaders go though, there's the Templars, who are a common squad, but a lot more than 50 points!

Yes, but the Templar were a small order of elite knights. And actually, they were mainly crusaders. I was talking about strictly common squads Onacara. I don't see why they'd have to be unique just 'cause the vikings are 50 points and unique. It wouldn't even make sense.

I'm confused, isn't that what I said?

I think a 50 point common squad is possible, even with the Tarn Vikings at 50. They made the Marro Warriors at 50 points, and then there's the Marro Drudges at 40. They'd obviously have to be weaker than the vikings though.

But since there already is a crusaders squad, I don't think it's really necessary to have another.

Re: Crusaders!

Sorry, I sort of mixed up what you said.(Typed) I SAID they'd have to rely on numbers. The main point is, Jandar needs some lower cost guys. And crusaders fit his theme perfectly. This would also give them room to give Jandar bowmen.

Yeah, as Einar Gen. already said the lowest point common squad is 70 (the Knights of Weston and the 4th Mass).I'm not saying that Jandar couldn't use a lower priced common squad, (although I'm not quite sure that a horde army would fit in with Jandar's theme...) but I'm not seeing any reason why such a squad would have to be crusaders.

Re: Crusaders!

Yeah I can't picture the good guys using swarm armies,it just doesn't make sense, and neither does bowmen in knight suits.

Re: Crusaders!

English bowmen. I never said Jandar needs to rely on hordes, but I think every army should have at least one 50 point common squad.
