Re: Hypnotize (Spell) (Brainstorming)
That has been updated in the OP.
This has been retooled quite a bit, unless there are further thoughts on the cost or anything like that... I'd like to move this into Initial Testing |

C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Hypnotize (Spell) (Brainstorming)
After a game last night I have a slightly different view on the potential of moving an enemy figure. Look to test this spell against teams that are highly dependent on smaller aura based abilities. I had a great deal of success moving Nightwing against his will away from his allies, such that he didn't have anyone to bond with for Titans Go. Moving a figure away from Sue and her +4 defense boost would be good too.

Re: Hypnotize (Spell) (Brainstorming)
Actually, I thought we were moving away from the temporary/permanent control language.

Re: Hypnotize (Spell) (Brainstorming)
Yes, good point. Memory lapse by me. We still need "take control" language, but the temporary should be scrapped. We also need to be clear how long the effect works.

So what does language need to look like then?

Enchantress has a good model for that

Re: Hypnotize (Spell) (Vote for playtesting)
So then I'm looking at...
HYPONOTIZE Instead of this figure's move or attack phase, choose a Unique Hero within 3 clear spaces and roll a d20. On a 6+ take control of that Hero and change its Personality to Manipulated for the rest of the round. Activate it for an attack phase, then return control. On a 16+, activate it for a move through attack phase instead. Last edited by Shiftrex; September 2nd, 2023 at 11:53 PM. |

Re: Hypnotize (Spell) (Vote for playtesting)
You want "move or attack phase" for that first part, right? Wording looks clean otherwise.
