Yeah, I was misunderstanding the power as a once a game thing. Every round, definitely keep it in the SZ.

Re: The Book of Cyborg (Vic Stone) (II) (Design Phase)
Fatherbox: During his transition into a Cyborg, Victor had assimilated a fatherbox from Darkseid's invading forces.
Boom-Tubes: Cyborg has the ability to open boomtubes to and from most any point towards anywhere be it in the universe or the multiverse, but it isn't perfect however due to the amount of mass weighing heavily upon transport capability; for every one in a thousand jumps can accidentally lead him straight to Apokolips. Hush-Tubes: After having tinkered with his internal workings, Victor has found a way to promenade undetectable transport. It's effects are such that not even Superman can detect them. Public Designs

Re: The Book of Cyborg (Vic Stone) (II) (Design Phase)
Cyborg doesn't usually fly in my memory, but I haven't read much of anything with him in the New 52. In Justice League: War he flies and shoots and maneuvers just as well as Green Lantern and the others, though, and that's a pretty direct adaptation of the New 52 stuff, so I buy it.
So with the Boom Tube stuff, let me make sure I have this right: - Start of the round, if Cyborg is in the start zone, you can place a Boom Tube. - End of the round, you can teleport Cyborg AND X other guys as if they were using their own boom tube, unrelated to the Glyph you put down. You HAVE to teleport Cyborg, you can't teleport just the other guys. - Next round, you can place a new boom tube (but obviously, if you teleported him out along with everyone else, he won't be in the new start zone, so that's the choice you have to make). That's pretty crazy - we'll have to put him through the ringer playtesting - but I'm willing to roll with it. The only niggle I have is that Justice League Strategist feels like a bad name for an initiative boost power that gets stronger with Scientists and Protectors. Something like "Justice League Support" rings truer to me. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Cyborg (Vic Stone) (II) (Design Phase)
Here's how it essentially plays out:
1. Start of the round, if Cyborg is in start zone, place Boom Tube in start zone. 2. End of the round, move Cyborg and however many(as dictated by the number of JL markers) other figures that are still in the start zone, up to 3 spaces each. If those figures happen to move onto the Boom Tube glyph during said movement, then they use the Boom Tube, if not, they just got to move 3 spaces. 3. Remove the Boom Tube from the battlefield. Rinse and repeat each round, which relies on if Cyborg stays back in the start zone. Now, balance wise, we can remove Cyborg AND the X amount of figures, and instead force you to have to use up one of the chosen figures on Cyborg. OR, we could simplify further for balance and make it Cyborg AND one other figure IF there's at least one Justice League Marker on this card. That way, it's only ever going to be a max of 1 other person at a time, in addition to if Cyborg wants to move out himself. Otherwise, if that's still no good balance wise, we could change the figure movement to "instead of taking a turn with Cyborg", instead of at the end of the round, thus causing you to give up a turn with Cyborg, for the advantage of placing Green Arrow/Batman/Aquaman etc. 10 spaces away. Which is quite valuable to them. This would help ease any potential concerns on a base bombing scenario if that's the main concern here. |

Re: The Book of Cyborg (Vic Stone) (II) (Design Phase)
Just a thought but what if we had Cyborg burn a marker each time someone uses the Boom Tube, that way it would be limited/balanced by the total number of JL markers. You could also then allow him to use the Boom Tube from anywhere on the board rather than just when moving out of the Start Zone. Then drop the JL marker burn for extra healing aspect. From a team stand point, moving quickly moving anyone around the board as needed seems much more JL marker burn worthy than healing a select few team members. It also plays up the decision between the passive initiative bonus and the burn use a bit more as you may not want to use up all your markers right away on the first turn. So something along these lines for his power set.
JUSTICE LEAGUE SUPPORT At the start of the game, place 1 blue Justice League marker on this card for each Unique Protector or Scientist Hero you control, to a maximum of 3. When rolling for initiative, if at least one Order Marker is on this card, you may add 2 to your roll for each Justice League marker on this card. BOOM TUBE TRANSPORT After revealing an Order Marker on this card, if there is at least 1 Justice League Markers on this card, you may choose to place a Glyph of Boom Tube power-side up on an empty space within 3 spaces of Cyborg. Instead of attacking with Cyborg, you may move Cyborg or 1 other figure you control within 6 clear sight spaces of Cyborg, up to 3 spaces. After making this move, remove the Glyph of Boom Tube from the battlefield and 1 Justice League marker from this card. CYBERNETIC ENGINEERING At the end of a round, you may remove one Wound Marker from this card or the Army Card of a Unique Android or Cyborg Hero adjacent to Cyborg. |

Refining that a bit, because I like that idea:

Re: The Book of Cyborg (Vic Stone) (II) (Design Phase)
I can on board with allowing both Cyborg & up to 1 other hero to move for each JL marker burned. Removing the JL marker at the start of the turn is smart too.

I like that version, it prevents you from building a pod larger than Cyborg plus 3 others.

Re: The Book of Cyborg (Vic Stone) (II) (Design Phase)
Next on the docket, would be to commit to a final decision on what classes to include here, as well as the number of classes. This is likely the last of the main Justice League faction(excluding a potential Justice League Dark version etc.), so whatever we put on here is the final tie-in of other classes.
Thoughts? Suggestions? |

Re: The Book of Cyborg (Vic Stone) (II) (Design Phase)
I'm pretty happy with Scientist and Protector, but also okay with adding in Champion here just to better tie him to the other 3 JL marker designs.

I like Scientist, Protector, and Champion, or just Scientist and Protector.
