Yeah, a company like Disney is always thinking about the brand first. Damage the brand and it's 100's of millions in lost revenue if not more, from theme parks to merchandise. The MCU has been a gravy train from them so far, so they may be even more apt to try and protect the golden goose from being tarnish. |

In this day and age, companies will overreact in certain cases because of the power of social media outrage. It's a powerful tool that I think has some good and bad uses. Disney did what others do when they fear catastrophic backlash that could really hurt the bottom line. Publicly traded companies also have their shareholders to consider if the value of their stock could be affected. Gunn handled the situation correctly and despite his off color comments many years ago, most people will chalk that up to poor decision making at the time that were only words and not actions. He has been a good guy since and was genuinely sorry for his comments. I don't know too many people who could say that they have never made a mistake or did something wrong at some point in their lives. The difference is in getting caught or how high profile a person is. I would like to be forgiven for some of my past comments or actions, as I suspect others would too. Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout
I really don’t have a problem with it, just having a bit of a laugh at the way corporations make these decisions.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout
I think the Fox merger was a big factor here too. They've been in zero controversy mode for the past year trying to get that sorted out - any bad press gets shut down immediately. Not that it's pretty much over they're a bit looser about things.
But yeah, Gunn handled it very well. It would have been really easy to play the victim and act like he's 100% in the right, but instead he apologized, admitted wrongdoing, and was willing to accept the consequences without complaining. Definitely shows the quality of his character. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout
Yesterday, I was in a Goodwill store and I found a book called Supersystem 4th edition (made in 2014). It's a miniatures game for superheroes and it has a lot of roleplaying elements to it too like gaining experience and such. Seems pretty cool! Now I have to see what I can take from it to incorporate into C3G games.

Please post any particularly intriguing text. You know that an RPG style campaign for C3G is one of my bucketiest of bucket list items.

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout
Seems like there would need to be a conversion or sorts to account for leveling up, investigating stuff and more than just having the DM saying, "okay, you guys walk around the corner and see xyz villians, now play Heroscape to see who wins."

All I have is a vague notion right now, so I guess any information is useful. This is a pretty long, long-term thought for me. Like not until I get the Batmobile and bookshelf Skyscraper and maybe the X-Men campaign done type of thing. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
