GAME SUMMARY:
The Mutants set-up a short ways outside their startzone while the Fighters moved across the map. Things got hot quick with Blue Beetle dropping in and wounding Xavier, and both Luke Cage and Dazzler going down before the second round was over. In the third round, Storm used her SA to take down Blue Beetle and charge up Bishop while Kitty finished off Human Torch. Kitty rushed Robot, failing to do damage, but acting as a successful lock-down unit for a few turns. Scarlet Spider moved in and finished off Xavier. Kitty retaliated by putting the final wound on Robot, but Scarlet Spider then quickly took her down. In the sixth round Storm attempted to charge Bishop up again using her SA, but he whiffed his defense roll and went down. Storm and Scarlet Spider dualed for a few rounds, but Scarlet Spider easily came out on top.

GAME SUMMARY:
Mystique had very poor rolls, leading the Outcasts to move out slowly, and that combined with Sage taking turns to boost both Kitty and Mystique gave the Titans plenty of time to set-up. Magneto and Mystique took on the Titans, and a string of good rolls had them taking down Starfire in the third round. Nightwing used Titans Go! and retaliated by KOing Mystique. For awhile it seemed like Magneto was going to win single-handedly as he took down first Nightwing and then Superboy, but some good rolls on the Titans’ part allowed them to take out Sage and then Magneto. Kitty (still boosted by Destiny and Sage) put up a good fight and held out for 3+ rounds, but couldn’t get through Raven’s Magical Defense or hold out against her Soul Self.

GAME SUMMARY:
The game got off to a quick start when Storm hit Ms. Marvel for 3 wounds and took 1 herself. Red Tornado kept things interesting by tossing the Mutants about and keeping them out of Xavier’s protective range, but he couldn’t manage to score any kills. Bishop timeslipped in at the start of the second round, and Storm charged him up later that round. Kitty went after a dazzled Red Tornado but was struggling to wound him at first. She finally got through and took down the Android, but Ms. Marvel and Winter Soldier went on a hot streak, taking down Storm, Xavier, and Dazzler in just two turns. Bishop retaliated by finishing off Ms. Marvel, but went down himself to Winter Soldier (who had just come out of stasis). Kitty faced off against Winter Soldier, and after barely surviving an attack from him, she finished him off.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Kitty II is very versatile which makes her very draftable. I’d say her primary use is as a supportive figure, since she can move your figures around and her survivability allows her to play as a nice blocker, but she makes a nice assassin unit in a pinch, especially against Androids. I’d put her at about 170-180 points, but otherwise I think she’s good as-is.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: I really liked playing with Kitty II, she feels super thematic and she fits wonderfully into Mutant builds. Phase Mastery is awesome and allows her to switch between supportive and offensive, and Reactionary Phasing gives her the right amount of survivability. I didn’t get a chance to use Airwalking, but that was mostly due to playing on flatter maps; I imagine it would see plenty of use on castle maps. Overall, I’m a really big fan of this design.

I'm seeing 170-180 range for her as well looking at the test results. Send her out for PT at either one but not 190, she does not look like a 190 point figure.

Not an official test because well...it's not been voted through but also because I was playing my son and I didn't take notes. He wanted to try out his new sentinel proxies so I figured I'd throw Kitty in there as well. I went with Professor X, Angel, Wolverine, Forge, Destiny and Kitty and he went with 3 Sentinels and Master Mold. So technically she was 185 in this match up to get to 1000 points. I figured it was a good match up for her so I went with it. X-Men lost with one Sentinel left with 2 wounds a little late luck by the Sentinels sealed the deal but considering this should have been a plus match-up for her I'd say it evens out. She was a lot of fun though and Professor X using Angel and Shadow Cat moves up 4 Mutants was nice early on. It allowed me to get Forge in place for the end of the round Mechanical Engineering wound. Wolverine and Shadow Cat did most of the early attacking with them both reducing Defense of MM and Sentinels by 2. Kitty was the first to get KO'd but not before she opened up a hole for the X-Men to get to Master Mold.

I'd say 170 is probably a pretty good spot and enjoyed her a ton.
