Character Bio - Named after one of history's greatest female samurai, Tomoe Gozan is a member of the Nara Sohei sect. She works as an assassin, and leads a band of other Nara. Masahiro Arashi hires them to deal with the Shi killer, who has been picking off his men one by one. During this time, Tomoe catches up with her best friend, who lives in the area, before deducing that her friend and the Shi killer are one and the same. In their confrontation, Shi seemingly dies and Tomoe takes up the mantle in Shi's honor, brutalizing Arashi's men. When Shi returns, Tomoe fades away, not able to continue their friendship, because her Nara Sohei sect rivals Shi's Kyoto Sohei sect and demands war between the two. Her split loyalties between the yakuza, the Nara and her friend Shi eventually start to tear at her grip on reality.

ENGAGEMENT STRIKE 15
If an opponent's small or medium figure moves adjacent to Tomoe Gozen, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 15 or higher, the opponent's figure receives one wound. Figures may be targeted only as they move into engagement with Tomoe Gozen.

FAN DANCE
When rolling defense dice against a normal attack, for each shield rolled, you may move Tomoe Gozan 1 space up to 5 levels up or down and roll an additional defense die. You may continue rolling defense dice until Tomoe Gozan moves adjacent to the attacking figure or you fail to roll any shields. Tomoe Gozan never takes leaving engagement attacks when moving with Fan Dance, and if she moves adjacent to the attacking figure, if that figure was not engaged with Tomoe Gozan at the start of the Fan Dance, it receives a wound.

I think her name is spelled Tomoe Gozan in the comics... also, she's generally referred to as just "Tomoe" in most sources, so we could pull an Elektra here and have her as "Tomoe (Tomoe Gozan)" if that's something we want.

Fan Dance is really cool and I like how it pairs with Engagement Strike... but I'm not feeling the Special Attack, honestly, considering how complex and dominating the first power is. Maybe just go with Double Attack?

I think you should consider: When attacking with this special attack, if you roll at least one skull, you may add 1 automatic skull to whatever is rolled.

I'll have to read the comic again for the name, I don't remember the spelling.

The SA I'm really open to. I just want to represent her fans, but we kind of do that with her first two powers, anyway.

Yeah, we could just do double attack, or even just up her attack to 5 or so and leave it at that. I like the multiple attacks with her fans so that's my slight preference.

I understood the mechanics with the current verbiage, but, yeah, that'd probably be even clearer.

I like the mechanics overall here.

I also prefer Double Attack over the current SA. I like the other two powers though, very cool. Do we want to put a cap on Fan Dance, or are we not worried about her A) being able to block really high attacks and B) moving a bunch of spaces in one go if she keeps hitting shields?

Yeah, I thought that we might need a cap a bit earlier. Not worried about blocking huge attacks, but running at flash speeds again green arrow, yeah.
