Character Bio - Fandral is a stalwart member of the Warriors Three, and a good friend and ally of Thor. Fandral once claimed to have lived on Earth and married a woman named Marian. This seems to indicate that it is possible that he was Robin Hood.

• Q: Exactly how does Swordplay work with multiple adjacent opponent figures that are at standing on varying levels of height in relation to Fandral?
• A: The first attack "locks in" a number of attack dice to roll, and every subsequent attack after that is based on the initial roll. Lets do an example: If Fandral (with 5 Attack) had height advantage on the first target, he would be able to use Swordplay for a maximum of 6 attacks (using 6,5,4,3,2,1 dice), regardless of who he attacked after the first attack. This is assuming that he rolled at least 1 skull on each previous attack.

TEST 1
Map: Custom.
Units: Fandral - VS - Iron Man Stealth.
Iron Man Stealth is a pain to defeat one on one. He kited all game, and finally Fandral took the highest point and waited for a chance to end the round by running after Iron Man then win initiative. He was a sitting target for a while, but it finally paid off and he got in 3 wounds with his Sword Play. Iron Man finished him off that round though, once he got height advantage back.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Iron Man Stealth wins with 3 wounds.

TEST 2
Map: Custom.
Units: Fandral - VS - Iron Man Stealth.
More of the same before, but this time, Fandral took Iron Man by surviving long enough to use the initiative switch charge tactic twice.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Fandral wins with 5 wounds.

TEST 3
Map: Custom.
Units: Fandral - VS - War Machine.
WM kited a lot with his SA and his Auto Gun working together, and the combo was nasty. On an initiative switch, Fandral engaged WM and attacked him 4 times and for the first time, giving WM 2 wounds while Fandral already had 5. WM took the LEA and shot Fandral down with his SA.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? War Machine wins with 3 wounds.

TEST 4
Map: Custom.
Units: Fandral - VS - War Machine.
WM's ranged SA and the rocky terrain kept him in the lead on damage, but once Fandral engaged him, WM quickly took 3 wounds and could not risk an LEA. Fandral finished him next turn.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Fandral wins with 4 wounds.

TEST 5
Map: Custom.
Units: Fandral - VS - Mandarin.
With Mandarin easily keeping height, the game played out evenly, as both had opportunities each turn to inflict damage multiple times. Mandarin finished it with a high roll on his energy rings.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Mandarin wins with 4 wounds.

TEST 6
Map: Custom.
Units: Fandral - VS - Mandarin.
Close again, as Mandarin had height, but this time Fandral was quite dashing with his Sword Play and several attacks each turn.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Fandral wins with 5 wounds.

TEST 7
Map: Custom.
Units:Fandral - VS - Wolverine.
Fandral gets the first attack and puts 4 wounds on Wolvie... big mistake. Wolvie goes nuts and puts 5 wounds back on Fandral, then heals one. Fortunately though, the round ended and allowed Wolvie to heal again. Fandral then unloaded on Wolvie some serious attacks and took him out.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Fandral wins with 5 wounds.

TEST 8
Map: Custom.
Units: Fandral - VS - Wolverine.
Other than the opening attack of 5 total wounds, Fandral had terrible attacks this game, and Wolverine kept on working him over and reducing his defense.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Wolverine wins with 3 Wounds.

TEST 9
Map: Custom.
Units: Fandral - VS - Super Skrull Rl 'Nnd.
The teleport helped SS, but the steel skin is what really gave him his edge.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? SS wins with 3 wounds.

TEST 10
Map: Custom.
Units: Fandral - VS - Super Skrull Rl 'Nnd.
Again, Steel Skin is really tough, especially when Fandral's attacks diminish in power with each subsequent attack.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? SS wins with 4 wounds.

- What should be the unit's point value? 270.
- Give a brief overview. This was a lot of fun slashing up Moloids. I expected this to happen, and it is nice to know that the Warriors 3 will have some good crowd control.

Fandral had TONS of attacks this game, and all the Moloids could do is swarm and hope to get in lots of attacks, but his sword was quicker.

- What should be the unit's point value? 270.
- Give a brief overview. It's a challenge fighting a ranged common squad with a melee fighter.

Units: Fandral - VS - Cops x4.

Cops' range allowed them to fan out and take high points, which forced Fandral to chase them a bit.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Cops win with 5 left.

- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes.
- What should be the unit's point value? 280.
- Give a brief overview. Even though Fandral has a lot of attacks, it is hard for them to really show off much against such stout enemies as the Giants, but his flurry of swords did help out more than a few times.
Map: Custom.
Units: Hogun, Fandral, Volstagg, and Thor (1,350 points after giving each Warrior an additional 10 points) - VS - Laufey, Frost Giant x4, Captain Cold, and Skrull Infiltrator x3 (1,350).

Spoiler Alert!

ROUND 1 - Both teams advanced and the warriors took the hill first as Laufey looked for the Ancient Winters. When the Frost Giants engaged, they froze Hogun. Then when the third OM was revealed on Hogun's card, the Warrior's couldn't do anything because their power is "instead of taking a turn", and so Hogun had no turn to replace, they couldn't activate.

ROUND 2 - The Giants freeze Fandral then Thor engages Hogun's rock, and cracks it and Fandral's rock open with his Hammer Swing. Warriors then all 3 have height advantage on one Giant, Fandral attacks 6 times, Volstagg attacks 1 time, and Hogun attacks 1 time for a total of 8 attacks, but only Hogun deals 2 wounds to the Giant. As the Giants struggle to freeze the warriors, the warriors struggle to deal any more damage, then Hogun deals 5 wounds to a Giant, killing it, and putting a wound on the other Giant.

ROUND 3 - Hogun circles a Giant and locks him down in engagement and misses. Frost Giant takes a leaving engagement wound and puts 3 wounds on Thor from height, then another Giant engages Hogun and puts another wound on him. Volstagg does nothing again as Fandral and Hogun fight two Giants and fail to damage them. The Giants freeze Hogun. Fandral uses his height advantage to destroy the Ice Rock and free Hogun, then deal two wounds to a Giant but Hogun failed to do any damage, while Volstagg sat still, unable to attack anyone nearby. The Giants try to freeze again, but fail.

ROUND 4 - Giants fail to hurt Thor, but put two more wounds on Hogun. Thor moves up on same height and misses the wounded Giant. Giants do nothing. Volstagg takes a turn and kills the wounded Giant. A Giant engaged Hogun and fails to freeze him, but the other Giant does freeze him. Fandral frees up Hogun, fails to hurt the Giant, but then Hogun hits the other Giant for 2 wounds.

ROUND 5 - Volstagg takes a turn and engages a Giant and hits for two wounds. Two Giants team up and beat Hogun to DEATH and he reveals that he was really a Skrull Infiltrator. Hogun lost a turn. The Giants froze Fandral. Fandral lost a turn. Giants freeze Volstagg. Volstagg and Fandral take a wound from frost bite.

ROUND 5 - Giant fail to freeze Thor. Thor summons his Thunder and misses a Giant, misses Fandral's Ice, destroys Volstagg's Ice and frees him, and kills a Frost Giant!!! Giant hits Thor and puts two wounds on him. Thor puts a wound on the Giant. Giant puts a wound on Thor. Volstagg kills the last Giant. Then throws the Ice Rock towards captain cold.

ROUND 6 - Captain Cold moves up and shoots his Cold Gun and hits Thor for 1 wound. Thor engages CC and hits him for 3 wounds. CC gives Thor his final wound with his special attack. Thor reveals that he is actually a Skrull. Volstagg moves up a tiny bit and kills a Skrull. CC misses Volstagg. Volstagg moves up a tiny bit and hits Fandral and frees him.

ROUND 7 - CC retreats and shoots Fandral for two hits. Volstagg and Fandral advance. CC retreats and misses Fandral. Warriors advance again. Laufey engages Volstagg and hits him for one wound. Volstagg heals with a MMMarker and hits Laufey for 2 wounds and Fandral kills the last Skrull.

ROUND 8 - Volstagg takes a turn and hits Laufey for two wounds. Laufey engages Fandral while dangerously still engaged with Volstagg, and puts Fandral in critical condition. Volstagg and Fandral put two wounds on Laufey. Laufey takes a wound from Volstagg and takes height on Fandral then kills him. Volstagg kills Captain Cold. Laufey comes down and hits Volstagg for 3 wounds.

ROUND 9 - Volstagg heals up two wounds with a MMMarker and hits Laufey for two wounds!!! This is now really close. Before Laufey takes his turn, Volstagg heals his last wound with his last MMMarker and adds two to his defense this turn, which really helped against Laufey's 5 skull attack, so Volstagg only took 3 wounds and that is now all he has on him. Volstagg rolls 3 skulls and Laufey rolls 0 defense. Volstagg wins.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Volstagg wins with 3 wounds.

- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes.
- What should be the unit's point value? 280.
- Give a brief overview. Lots of attacks comes in handy when you are surrounded by figures, obviously. Picking who should be the priority target is kinda fun too. This guys is fast and furious, and I am sure people will enjoy him.

Units: Volstagg, Hogun, and Fandral (920) - VS - Piledriver, Wrecker, Bulldozer, Thunderball and Pyro (920).

Spoiler Alert!

Wrecker and Bulldozer were the first to meet the Warriors, and though they did both die, they softened up Hogun and Fandral pretty bad. Piledriver and Thunderball went in next though Piledriver killed the wounded Fandral, Volstagg gave Piledriver the beat down of a life time. Then Thunderball took out Hogun and wounded Volstagg with his Ball and Chain. Using his range, Thunderball baited Volstagg towards him and when Volstagg finally caught up over the rocky terrain, he was bleeding and in need of Meat. After eating, Volstagg was savage against Thunderball, and destroyed him. Then with all the OMs on Thunderball's dead army card, Volstagg went after Pyro and hit him hard, but then next round Pyro broke engagement and took the high ground permanently. Using his engulf and his SA, Pyro was able to severly cripple and defend Volstagg who was out of FOOD. Pyro ended the fat man's life and took the victory.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Pyro wins with 2 wounds.
