Re: Hello, Hello, I'm At A Place Called...
Ahhh....maybe it was you that introduced her to me long ago. I remembered it was one of the og CRB folks.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hawkmen of Thanagar
Decent pseudo-bonders in that you have about half the efficiency of full bonding with them. If your Hawkman or Hawkgirl do their job and inflict wounds, though, no turns for you!
Battle Maneuver is nice for setting up big swoop attacks. They're locked into fairly narrow builds and those builds are normal attack-heavy, which can be a competitive detriment. Lots of fun to play, though! 3/B C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hawkmen of Thanagar
I used these guys early on in my C3G career when I was used to squad'scape from Valhalla. They're fun and work well with the original two Hawks. Like Bats said, they're kind of a one trick pony, so they'll struggle against anyone that strong normal attacks don't work well on.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hawkmen of Thanagar
These guys have always been fun. An all-hawk army was super viable at the beginning. Haven't played them in a while to know if that's still true.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hawkmen of Thanagar
I almost took a mostly hawk army to C3Gcon...but not with both the OG hawks. I have two more in my cart right now because I only have 4 and I want more.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hawkmen of Thanagar
I've had to glue mine back on their bases several times. Also lost an axe head on one. Just brittle figures all around. Fun unit to play though. I agree on the earlier comments about being a little limited to just normal attacks as an army build. It's a really strong normal attack barrage though. Which means they work really well as part of a bigger army. Hawkwoman, Hawkman, & 3 sets of Hawkmen gives you a 750 point block. So play them as part of a 1200-1600 point army and use the remaining 450-850 points on a second army build filled with units that do things well other than use a normal attack. Depending on what you are facing, either send out the Hawks first to soften your opponent up, or hold them in reserve while utilizing the other members of your army to take out the units that are problematic for a normal attack army.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Science Police
These guys can get pretty crazy with Mon-El and Chameleon Lad. I've always wanted to work out a Science Police Captain that makes them more valid as their own force.
