Re: The Book of Cyclops (Scott Summers) (II) (Breathing)
Looks cool. Is this a Scott from a specific era or just a more generic modern one?

Re: The Book of Cyclops (Scott Summers) (II) (Breathing)
It's not trying to be from one specific run. It definitely does have a modern vibe, though - like Joss Whedon's run through AvX, probably.

Re: The Book of Cyclops (Scott Summers) (II) (Breathing)
The miniature listed in the first post is for his costume from Whedon's Astonishing X-Men, and very similar to the one he had through Avengers vs. X-Men. So Ronin's on the money. That's the period where Xavier has stepped down as headmaster and had a falling out with Cyclops in particular, and also where Schism happened, so it's nice that he needs the X and doesn't necessarily play well with either Xavier or Wolverine. (Though he still kind of does. They'd have to argue over who gets to use it. Still appropriate. )
It'll suck to whiff on his special attack, but I like big risky moves like that. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

I like that Emma will make his 8 clear sight space leadership power work better on city maps.

Re: The Book of Cyclops (Scott Summers) (II) (Breathing)
Hmm, a second Shadowcat from that era and a beastlier Beast from that era might be nice down the road. Maybe ones that could benefit from having a revealed "X" on their cards?
Those are the two characters (and Emma, I guess) that I remember most from Whedon's Astonishing X-Men (one of the few X-Men runs I've read). For this design, Cyke's gonna love Angel even more than Prof X. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Cyclops (Scott Summers) (II) (Breathing)
Nothing to add...still love it.
Also Bat's we do already have two Shadowcat's and I wasn't sure if you were around then so I figured I'd point it out. Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Hmm, good to know.

Re: The Book of Cyclops (Scott Summers) (II) (Breathing)
Fun design! One thing I wonder is if his offensive potential will be enough to justify him coming in 10 points above Professor X. Obviously much is to be seen in testing, but right now he has strictly worse bonding than Professor X. Optic Destruction might be enough, though. Leader as a class comes with interesting benefits too.
I shot photos of this mini today. Not sure if it's useful for what era Cyclops it is. Like Superheroes and Comics?

Re: The Book of Cyclops (Scott Summers) (II) (Breathing)
Hmm, is it strictly worse, though? I mean, sort of yes, sort of no. Professor X would never let you attack with three Mutants on one turn. Or move with three Mutants on one turn.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
