This could solve HS's biggest problem of being somewhat annoying to transport.
I am assuming it would be cheaper to make as well, but I'm not entirely sure how difficult it is to produce holographics. |

If Microsoft bought the Heroscape license, and sold virtual units and terrain for this platform, it would be, probably, the first reasonable "save Heroscape" idea that's been tabled (pun may or may not be intended).

I've not been to this site in years, but seeing hololens brought up the concept. There was even a VR table top turn based game that looked similar to heroscape demoed at the Game Developers Conference.
Not exactly scape, but it opens up the oppurtunity for playing with people across state lines, and even in other countries. Theophilus. |

Clearly we just need to get some writers, game designers, and programmers together and we'll make our own Heroscape (hookers and blackjack optional). The evil Etgar has drunk from the Elder Waters and had premonitions of war. She is now summoning forces from all over the universe, and so the other Commanders must summon their armies to Nalhalla!

I think this may be the most viable option for Heroscape Classic. For those that play online, or used the 3d modelers, maybe something could actually be viable?
