Yeah, I'd go Unique Squad of 4. Maybe let them bond with Ronan directly so they can move around the board with him and get that stat boost he offers. I like how you extended the boost out by doing the fanatical/accused thing. I think him needing to be adj. to give his Kree their stat boost is what holds him back. Letting him boost his allies by just being on the board and accusing someone would be a nice boost to his play ability.

Yeah, I like them as a Unique Squad of 4. These guys seem like sort of a "special unit" of the Kree empire, so I don't mind moving away from the Common/Uncommon approach for them. Cool idea to help build around Ronan for sure.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Here's a new Apocalypse write up.
I was going for something on the Unique side that could possibly get more play outside of a scenario type game. Not sure if there is an Apocalypse (II) on the horizon, but wanted to put something to paper as I have had ideas floating around for years it seems like. BEHOLD NAME = APOCALYPSE SECRET IDENTITY = EN SABAH NUR SPECIES = MUTANT UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = CONQUEROR PERSONALITY = RUTHLESS SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 6 LIFE = 7 MOVE = 6 RANGE = 4 ATTACK = 6 DEFENSE = 7 POINTS = 400 EXTERNAL EVOLUTION 18 After taking a turn with Apocalypse, you may choose an adjacent Unique Hero and roll the 20-sided die. You may add 1 to your roll if the chosen figure is a Mutant. If you roll 18 or higher, remove up to 2 Wound Markers from this card and place them on the chosen figure’s card. If the chosen figure would be destroyed, instead, immediately place it on this card and place Apocalypse on the space previously occupied by the chosen figure. While Apocalypse has a figure on this card placed by this special power, he may use any special attacks on that figure’s card. MOLECULAR MANIPULATION Apocalypse never takes any leaving engagement attacks, never rolls for molten lava damage or lava field damage, and may not be moved by any special power on an opponent's Army Card. APOCALYPTIC TECHNOPATHY If an opponent chooses Apocalypse or a figure within 3 clear sight spaces of Apocalypse for any special power on an equipment glyph and rolls the 20-sided die, if that opponent rolls 18 or lower, the opponent’s figure using the equipment glyph immediately receives one wound and must drop the equipment glyph. Cool stuff! Given the current status quo of the X-Men, it’d be cool to have an Apocalypse that’s more of a team player.
External Evolution is the one to watch, as that could get downright unbeatable, especially since you can absorb your own figures. 7L/7D with Healing Factor is already terrifying, but if he absorbs Armor? I feel like that’s basically game over for your opponent. |

No Apocalypses in the works.
Dig the first power. An auto-destroy direction for him is going to be a hard sell. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Maybe there would be a way to tone it down? Thematically, I think think power absorption is one of his best known powers. It could be raised to 20 and just be a heal/body snatch power I guess, without him taking on additional powers. That's pretty much how my original card from 13 years ago was worded.

What if at the start of each round he gets to remove one Mutant from his card, then he gets that Mutant’s power for the rest of the game?
So he absorbs Jean Grey, then at the start of the next round he can remove her figure to have her powers for the entire round? Still would be plenty of annoying powers to deal with but (a) they’d only last a round and (b) it avoids OP power combos, like if there’s ever a Mutant with Unstoppable Resilience that can be combined with Magical Defense. |
