I was thinking about that too. If you had a team of all people meant to survive (Spidey, Isamu, Rats, ect.) you could resurrect him probably once a game. After he was dead if you took no other casualties in 6 turns he would be back on the board and ready for action.

I think Spidey and a squad of rats could reasonably survive six turns worth of attacks in many situations. And that's just at 600 points - many SuperHeroscape games are played at 1000 +

Does this mean he's broken? Superman certainly couldn't take him out twice.

And if you want to get crazy, try 5 squads of rats instead. I've played against 5 rats and Thanos. It isn't pretty.

I think Thanos can do the same trick ... so that's hard to answer. That's why we playtest. To make sure it's fun, balanced, and properly costed.

Edit: That said, I think Griff's proposed changes are definitely a step in the right direction. And there's no guarantee whatever group you put with Doomsday lasts the 6 turns necessary to bring him back.

I won an all-hero tournament doing basically that. Rolled a 20 when I only had one figure left. Had I not pulled that, I would have lost the championship match! (The best part was, right before I rolled it, I said "Now watch this:")

I did it with heroes instead of Ratsx5. If someone put down Ratsx5 against me, I would and thenand then some more until they .

For starters, I'd suggest capping both powers at +3. He can still get 13 defense dice, but only up to 10 attack. I like that better than 12D just with one power and (as currently written) potentially unlimited dice with the second power...

I'm hoping that we're axing the Experience Marker part entirely ... but we'll see. I'm certainly in favor of that move.
