Yeah, the Frost Giant issue is a messy one but that's separate from the discussion here; since the same kind of situation can come up by your last figure simply having no available spaces next to them.

For Doomsday, the situation is avoidable due to the option of just not removing the final wound if there isn't a place to put him. But it's kind of stupid that if you do, there's no way of backtracking and you effectively lose Doomsday.

Honestly, I'd like to see a text revision here. Outside of just this issue, the wording on the power is out of date and feels kind of clunky to me. Something along the lines of:

EVOLUTIONARY REGENERATION
After revealing an Order Marker on this card, if Doomsday does not move or attack this turn, you may remove a Wound Marker from this card. When Doomsday is destroyed, place or remove Wound Markers until there is 6 Wound Markers on this card. Order Markers may still be placed and revealed on this card even while Doomsday is destroyed. At any point on your turn, if Doomsday is destroyed and there are no Wound Markers on this card, immediately place Doomsday adjacent to a figure you control.

I basically agree, and what I ruled should probably not be an official ruling. However, as I pointed out, Black_Charos could have simply chosen not to heal Doomsday's last wound until he could place Doomsday. So my ruling was basically "I won't act like a rules lawyer and make you accidentally screw yourself over."

The more proper (non-douchey) way to play it, given the current wording, would probably be to tell him not to heal the wound in the first place.

Is the intention there that it works when you're taking a turn with another figure? And it's also intentional that placing Doomsday is required, not optional?

Well, the placement can trigger on any of your turns, but since that can only happen when he's been fully healed, and that he can only heal when he reveals an OM, it means, in most cases, he'll return to the battlefield on a turn where he reveals an OM and removes the final wound from his card. The only difference, I believe, is in the case where he can't be placed on that turn, in which case at any point on any of your future turns where there is a space for him to be placed, he immediately pops up.

And yeah, as long as both conditions are true (currently destroyed but no more wounds on his card), he must be placed on the battlefield. You can, of course, choose not to remove the final wound if you don't want him to be placed yet though (which is how the current version works too).

As I proofed Wave 6, Incredible Hulk (C3G) uses "fewer" in Super Leap. "Less" may be Hasbro official, but there is precedent for "fewer" in C3G.
