The Book of Oracle
The Book of Oracle C3G DC SUPER SECRET EXCLUSIVE 31 BIRDS OF PREY _________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - After the Joker's "Killing Joke" leaves Commissioner James Gordon's daughter Barbara paralyzed below the waist, thus ending her fledgling career as Batgirl, she picks up the pieces of her life, mastering skills both in martial arts - notably with the use of eskrima - and computers. As the DCU's foremost computer hacking expert and all-around brainiac, Barbara takes on the identity of Oracle and leaves the confines of the Batman family. She uses her newfound prowess to aid the vigilantes of Gotham, the Justice League, the Justice Society, The Birds of Prey (a group she founds with Black Canary), and even a series of new Batgirls. Her computer skills allow her to help in areas such as surveillance, information gathering, tracking criminals down, masking heroic identities, and circumventing villainous security protocols. It is not until she's confined to a wheelchair that Barbara Gordan finds her greatest strengths - not as Batgirl, but as Oracle. _________________________________________________________________ -Rulings and Clarifications-
