Zetacron - what's your army idea?
Now that Truth has even more anticipatory juices pumping with his blog post revealing Zetacron's card ( http://www.heroscapers.com/community/blog.php?b=242 ) I'm eager to see everyone's ideas for 400-600 point armies involving him. I'll go first with a 495 point army:
Zetacron 60 Venoc Warlord 120 1xArmoc Vipers 65 Finn 80 2xKnights of Weston 140 Guilty McCreech 30 A Q9 killer at last! With a boost from the VW, Zetacron has a move of seven and a range of eight - plenty for a first shot at the Q-ster from height. And with luck, this army leads with Finn and the KoW to get even more power on Zetacron's card with Finn's unfortunate demise. If only he weren't so FRAGILE! But at 60, the price is right for a unit that any high defense hero needs to fear. Aldin, that Finn Spirit - ouch.
Thats wicked - I like that army a lot! Here's mine to fit in a 510 allotment. Very happy to supply some Venocs back in an army. Just give me 1 or 2 Frenzies at the right time: VW 120 Armocs 185 Zeta 245 AAx2 385 VVx3 505 500 points: VW 120 Syvarris 220 Aubrien Archers x2 360 Zetacron 420 Venoc Vipersx2 500 |

Thanks for the kind words, Sir Aldin.
As to the army below, Apologies if my wording threw you as I meant for Saylind to not literally "carry" Zetacron, but summon him. She has a > 50% chance. Theracus could follow with Taelord on OM #2. This could all be before OR after the squads were sent out, depending on if you want to try using them to thin out the ranks or for cleanup. It's much different from some of the other ideas but I was thinking of something like this:
Aubrien Archers x2 (140) Venoc Warlord (120) Raelin RotV (80) Roman Legionnaires x2 (100) Zetacron (60) Venoc Warlord is the central figure - Frenzy for the archers, speed for Zetacron, and bonding with the Romans. With Raelin and the romans defense it can be played defensive. With frenzy, bonding, and scout enhancement, it can be used offensively. insert signature here --> _________ |

Army 1
Armocs x2 130 Mittens 250 Zetacron 310 Venocs x3 430 Marro Warriors 480 Marcu 500 Use Marcu as an initial scout/glyph holder, follow with the Venocs as shock troops once your enemy's range is closer to you, or bring in Zeta when heavy hitting heroes need to be brought down a peg. Marro Warriors provide extra range when the Venocs and Zeta are out, and if you get your enemy down to all melee either the Marro Warriors or the Armocs and Mittens can be a force to be reckoned with. Army 2 Armocs x2 130 Mittens 250 Zetacron 310 Venocs x2 390 Krav Maga 490 Isamu Isamu goes to be your early glyph holder/assassin, Krav Maga are your anti-range, Venocs go shock troop again, Zeta is anti-hero again, and Armocs/Mittens are clean-up again. Army 3 Zetacron 60 KoW x2 200 Finn 280 Thogrim 360 4th Mass x2 500 This one might be difficult to use b/c your typical ranged bread and butter are encouraged to play more of a closer role, which might work against you for competitive purposes. But one thing you can do is force your opponent to make some difficult decisions. Such as do I take out the advancing/attacking vikings and let their spirits go on the increasingly dangerous Zetacron, or do I target the robot first and let the Vikings do as they please? Or do I take out Zetacron before he tears up my expensive figures (especially if he has viking bonuses on him) or do I take out the 4th Mass while they have lower defense? Move the knights and the vikings up and get the vikings on glyphs if you can to enhance these quandries. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
