Re: The Soundtrack To Your Life

I want to do another one of these.

Theatrical Trailer:
Transatlanicism-Death Cab for Cutie (Possible, but it odd for a trailer)

Opening Credits:
Differnt Names for the Same Places- Death Cab for Cutie (Actually, it fits with transatlanticism's mood)

Waking Up:
Understand-Dropline (Well, these songs all work together, but this is going to be a depressing movie)

First Day of School:
I'm Ready-Jack's Mannequin (Works pretty well actually)

Falling in Love:
Privilege-Incubus (No. It is epic failz)

Fight Song:
Violet Hill-Coldplay (Switch it and privilege around and it works perfectly.)

Breaking Up:
Paper Tigers- The Ceasers ( I've actually heard it on Television for a break up song before)

Prom:
Lousiana Bayou-Dave Matthews Band ("Two young boys lyin dead by the side of the road" Yup, it's a prom )

Mental Breakdown:
It's a Disaster- OK Go (Perfect!)

Driving:
American Baby-Dave Matthews Band (No...)

Flashback:
Fallen Angel-Dropline (Perhaps, but probably not)

Moment of Clarity:
Cigarette Smoker Fiona- Arctic Monkeys (Not even close)

Getting Back Together:
Beutiful-Dropline (WIN)

Wedding:
In Love With a Girl-Gavin Degraw (So perfect)

Child's Birth:
Day Tripper-the Beatles (no, not at all)

Tragedy Strikes:
You Probably Couldn't See for the Lights but you Were Staring Straight at Me- Arctic Monkeys (While they win for longest title, it only partially fits)

Chase Scene:
Got Ma Nuts from a Hippie-the Fratellis ( That is so not right)

Payback Time:
Baby I'm Yours-Arctic Monkeys ( That is the exact OPPOSITE of getting payback)

The Final Battle:
Evening Sun-the Strokes (really mellow battle)

Death Scene:
Can't Say What I Mean-Kaiser Chiefs (No duh you can't say it, you're dead)

Funeral Scene:
No Buses-Arctic Monkeys (Wow, this band is coming up waay too often, and it never fits)

Legacy Lives On...:
Over-Sugarcult (I thought it lived on, not ended...)

End Credits:
Come Homr- OneRepublic (I like it. It fits fairly well)

Now I'm going to purposely try and fit songs into the list so that they work.

Re: The Soundtrack To Your Life

I've finished. I have now worked the list to fit with music I like, and music I think will fit.

Please ignore the videos, and just listen to the music.

Trailer: Let Go by Frou Frou
Opening Credits: Caroline, Yes by Kaiser Chiefs
Waking Up: General Specific by Band of Horses
First Day of School: More than Fine by Switchfoot
Falling in Love: Fell in Love with a Girl by the White Stripes
The Fight: She's the Blade by Sugarcult
Breaking Up: Bruised by Jack's Mannequin
Prom: Dead End by the Whitest Boy Alive
Mental Breakdown: Blue Veins by the Raconteurs
Driving: Destination Anywhere by Sugarcult
Flashback: Hammers and Strings by Jack's Mannequin
Moment of Clarity: Love Hurts by Incubus
Getting Back Together: Last Request by Paolo Nutini
Wedding: So Right by Dave Matthews Band
Child's Birth: Golden Slumber by the Beatles
Tradegy Strikes: It's not the Fall that Hurts by the Ceasers
Chase Scene: Club Foot by Kasabian
Payback: Heart in a Cage by the Strokes
Final Battle: Light Grenades by Incubus
Death: I Will Follow You Into the Dark by Death Cab for Cutie
Funeral: Let it Be by the Beatles (Across the Universe Cover)
Legacy Lives On: The Resolution by Jack's Mannequin
End Credits: Straw Dog by Something corporate

I put a lot of thought into this, and even if the titles don't seem to work together, the songs do. There were numerous instances where I couldn't find a godo video, so you are stuck with a junky live version. Also, two songs (Bandages by Cherry Monroe and Fly Away From Here by Dropline) weren't even on Youtube, so I replaced them. Anyway, enjoy.

Re: The Soundtrack To Your Life

You know what, I love doing these! I'm going ot make yet another, only with some new topics (not yours, because that looks like a sucky movie)

Heist movie
Intro: The Space Between-Dave Matthews Band (I like this idea)

Assembling the gang: Lightness-Death Cab for Cutie (epik phailz)

The plan: Sign Off-Sugarcult (horrible)

Breaking in: Medicate the Kids-Gavin Degraw (It would work perfectly if there were no lyrics)

In the Vault: Oh! Gravity-Switchfoot (I'm doing horribly on this one)

Narrow Escape: Pity and Fear-Death Cab for Cutie (yes, it kind of almost maybe works!)

Betrayl: Under Pressure-Queen (eh...not really)

Arrest: I am the Walrus-Bono (NO)

Getting out of Jail: I think I smell a Rat-White Stripes (YES YES YES YES!!!)

Reasembling the gang: Clocks-Coldplay ( Man, none of my music fits these catagories)

Tracking down the Betrayer: My Mirror Speaks-Death Cab for Cutie (no again)

Framing him for the Big score: Touch the Sky-Kanye west (...ugh)

He figures it out and goes after you: I'm finding it harder to be a gentleman every day-the White Stripes (again, not really)

Confrontation: Level-the Raconteurs (okay...I can see it)

Revenge at last: I'm in love with my car-Queen (um...that's odd)

Ending: the Resolution-Jack's Mannequin (okay I suppose)

I love heist movies, so I figured I'd try one of them...my music sucks for them though. Oh well. I figure at the end of any good heist movie the main character makes off with a ton of loot and lives large with his gang of theives.
