Re: UK Scapers (The life and times of RichardD)

I'm still here.

I'm now smarting over not ordering the Wave 10 boosters that I want when I had the chance. I did have one of every single unique and three of every common pack (including Tundras, greedy old me), but the Warriors of Feldspar are out of stock at House Mouse Games and are *ridiculously* expensive elsewhere. This might be the point at which I give up collecting HS and just play the game.

I'm in Birmingham, BTW. Whereabouts is everyone else from?

Q - "Are you one of those people who does The Times crossword puzzle in 10 minutes?"

A - "I have NEVER taken 10 minutes!"

Same here. I wasn't even thinking of just buying 3 common packs from HMG, I was going to wait for the D&D masterset to come out (or even wait for the first D&D boosters to become available, depending on what the quality of the figures is like), so hopefully the Warriors of Feldspar will be available by then.

I luckily managed to get that set with the heroes of quagmire when they came out from HMG, as well as a castle set. I managed to get VW from ebay much earlier. However, I have not managed to obtain a TT.

Gendo for PM!
If he isn't, he'll GENDOWN you.

My main set came from TK Maxx (12). I hope Wave 10 makes it to the UK because I want the Heroes and the new squads.

I usually shop around on ebay and have my family ship things from America. I'm in Glasgow.

Re: UK Scapers (The life and times of RichardD)

I cracked and bought the pack at somewhat inflated - but not outrageous - prices from someone who advertises here.

Meanwhile I am now hating Christmas. After spending three days hunting high and low for some robotic junk that my daughters want, I now discover that the big Lego set that I wanted for myself has suddenly jumped 40 from the price that it was available for on ebay a month or so ago. It was a self-indulgent purchase at 90; at 130+ I'd need my head looking at.

Though I'll probably still buy it.

I'm gonna wait and see if we get Wave 10 over here (we had 9, so maybe it'll just be a longer wait).

8258.

http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product...258&cn=57&d=70

I have about half of the range-topping Technic sets from the last 30 years. This crane truck was going for 90 brand-new a few weeks ago on ebay - now it's 130 everywhere. After Christmas, Lego will readjust their prices in all likelihood, to take account of the pound's fall against the Euro, which could see it going up to 150, so at some point I'll probably cave and buy it at 130.

Just fyi, if you are looking for Raknar's Vision, you can get it right now on American ebay for about 30 including shipping to the UK.
