I think Tim's been busy with advertising for his Valor Ministries stuff. I'll
try to find out what else has been keeping away.

Re: Houston, we have a thread...

Hello people,
Hope you had an awesome time at NHSD. Unfortunately, i couldn't be there due to work.

Anyway, i have a terrible dilemma. I lost some scape figures and don't know where and when. I was checking over my figures and I found out that I am missing:
1 Einar imperium
Taelord
Hatamoto Taro
Major Q10
Laglor
Ornak
Iskra
Su-Bak-na
1 Rachet
Me-Burq-Sa
1 sentinel

As you can see, that is quite a hefty loss. I need your help guys.
I understand some of you have bought multiples and if you have extras of any of those figures and are willing to part without them, could you please let me know. I'd be happy to buy them from you. I rather do that, than buy a whole new booster/master set/ large set for a single figure.

Thank you,
jose

Re: Houston, we have a thread...

Argh, most of those I do not buy multiples of. I may be able to help with Q10, but I'm not sure. I'll call Charles as he is getting rid of stuff right now.

Re: Houston, we have a thread...

So, I was over at the Baytown Toys 'R Us, pickin' up some baby stuff, and I decided to check the game aisle. There were several Marvel's and many SOTM's. Marvel's were $19.99, and SOTM's were $42.99. I realize they are saying they won't carry Heroscape anymore, but those are NOT priced to sell. I was hoping to buy a SOTM for $19.99. Anyway... How's everybody doing?

Re: Houston, we have a thread...

Yeah, Roman, I'm with you...

There is a TRU near me that I try to go to every few weeks. I'm waiting for SOTM to be anything less than $25. Hopefully, it will be there soon, but not yet. Christmas is not too far away.

Has anyone seen Wave 3 in Houston? I've only been to one Walmart since people have seen them, but that Walmart never has any 'Scape. Sightings have been made in Austin and Dallas area, so we are probably in the same distribution area, right? Keep on the lookout - and I'll buy any of the boosters (budget only says 1 pack for now) if you find them and don't buy them all for yourself.

You Shake, I Bake... I Shake, You Bake... It doesn't matter, b/c someone will end up extra crispy.

I saw wave three in Khema but didn't have any money so I had to stare at them then leave.

I have to give my own introductions....

Anyway... I don't think we need an event coach. We should just all stop having babies, working, and going to school. Yea... that solves our problem.

Seriously though to tell the truth I have somewhat lost interest in playing the game. The one thing I do miss, is all you guys. Yea before you all start crying... I miss the one skull rolls followed by the big defense whiff to send Q9 or some other big name figure packing which in turn led to a giddy crowd of 8 to 12 Houston Heroscapers. Everyone being scared of me because I was the smartest drafter... lol and then Sweetcurse finding a way to somehow defeat me in the end because of his mighty courage (luck).

Some of you have my number, or you can reach me on here by PM. I like Monday's and Fridays.... play me.

Re: Houston, we have a thread...

Coach - Smoach.

Here are my suggestions:
1. We just need to plan the event way in advance. (about 6 weeks)

2. Then, we need to make people sign up by a deadline, (about T - 3 weeks)

3. To ensure commitment, charge a nominal fee $5, to cover hosting expenses.

4. Make an event thread at the beginning with the sign up list and all relevant details.

5. Choose different locations. I'm not saying none in Clear Lake, just mix it up. This may mean trying it at a store or really going for the gusto by getting a room at some other establishment.

Who is even active anymore? How about a roll call.

We are just so darn easygoing that we're willing to let our best Heroscape days go by.
