Re: Florida Frenzy 6.5 - June 29

Re: Florida Frenzy 6.5 - June 29
The maps I think we should use are:
1. Flash Fire by Dignan Requires: 1 RotV and 2 RttFF 2. Caldera (v4) by Typhon222 Requires: 2 BftU, 1 TJ 3. Molten Hills by Black Charos Requires 1 RotV, 1 BftU, 1 VW 4. Hadrian* by Robber Requirements: 1 SotM, 1 FotA, 2 TJ *I really wanted "Pass of Golgotha" instead (see post above), but I could not find the download. (Back up small maps if needed)
Spoiler Alert!
1. Because there are no Ice maps, for this tournament, Dungeon/Shadow/Stalagmite tiles will activate Snow/Ice/Glacier tile bonuses. 2. Each map will use two random glyphs out of our pool of 10, except Flash Fire which actually gets 3. 2. We need to plan for 8 total maps in case we get up to 16 people. -- please volunteer to bring some of the first four maps suggested (we need two of each). If we can't get those, we'll move to the back-up maps, again asking for volunteers. |

Re: Florida Frenzy 6.5 - June 29
I'm afraid I can be no help in bringing the maps. I've managed to uncover some armies and a single SotM box here in FL, but all the rest of my terrain is in storage in Virginia.

Re: Florida Frenzy 6.5
Unfortunately, I will end up missing this one by a week (I was in Venice and ultimately Key Largo last week), but am looking forward to the battle reports. Will try to make the next one, especially if it is a bit closer to the panhandle (cough Gainesville cough Tallahassee cough ). I hope to see some of you at GenCon this year as well.

Re: Florida Frenzy 6.5 - June 29
Filthy, always a shame to have you miss one. Hopefully see you next time.
As to the maps, I should be able to bring at least 1 each of Flash Fire, Caldera and Hadrian (possibly more than 1 if needed, we'll see how many everyone else can bring). I also wanted to ask if any of the C3V/SoV customs are allowed? They somewhat function as new waves and was wondering if they were considered official or not for the purposes of this tourney. Either way, I've got to pick an army this week. |

Re: Florida Frenzy 6.5 - June 29
Cool Stuff CONFIRMED they will have enough room for our tournament. However, they said there is a Vanguard Tournament of ~35 kids starting around 3pm, which could get rowdy (but I think we'll be OK). Also, doors don't open until noon, so our Tournament won't begin until ~12:45 p.m. after setup is complete.
-------------------- Thanks for volunteering to bring some maps, randomskyfears! And no, I was not planning on allowing "custom" additions like C3V/SoV, but maybe next time! I should be able to bring one Caldera, which leaves: 1. Flash Fire Requires: 1 RotV and 2 RttFF Brought by: randomskyfears, beholderthedm 2. Caldera (v4) Requires: 2 BftU, 1 TJ Brought by: randomskyfears, BurnyFlame 3. Molten Hills Requires 1 RotV, 1 BftU, 1 VW Brought by: nicktheant?, ??????? 4. Hadrian Requirements: 1 SotM, 1 FotA, 2 TJ Brought by: randomskyfears, ??????? Last edited by BurnyFlame; June 27th, 2013 at 11:29 AM. Reason: Map bringers |

Re: Florida Frenzy 6.5 - June 29
I have some terrain I will be bringing. I don't exactly know what I have, but there is a fair amount and variety, so I am sure I can build something.

Re: Florida Frenzy 6.5 - June 29
I just noticed that the address you have for Cool Stuff is their original storefront and wanted to make sure that was the one you talked to. Their new store is the bigger one at
8550 S. US Hwy 17-92 Maitland, FL 32751 Either way, my girlfriend should be able to make this tournament, so you can add her to the list of people coming And I would like to petition to get those customs added to the next tourney simply so we can see some new figures and armies. I figure if I bring it up enough it's bound to happen at some point |

Edit: OK, BOTH Cool Stuffs said we were OK for Saturday. So we will be at the MAITLAND (bigger/newer) Cool Stuff Games store. Thanks randomskyfears for the catch! We'll try to play a few "official customs" next time as long as everyone has proper notice. Last edited by BurnyFlame; June 25th, 2013 at 01:27 PM. |

Re: Florida Frenzy 6.5 - June 29
Second update: The Maitland store actually opens at 11am, so I'd like to start the first round at noon as was originally planned. Set-up/Check-in will be from 11am-12pm.
See you there! |
