I think as is you're going to be fairly unhappy with the design. 150 points is expensive for something that easily dies to any autowounding power. And it's gonna be hard for them to end up cheap since they can come back so easily. I think increasing the life total here and making them uncommon will lead to better play experience overall.

I think Tickle's advice is sound (More life = buff, but making them uncommon could be a major nerf if OM placement gets shaky), but I'm willing to see how it feels in practice before tweaking.

I just don't think this design is going to be remotely satisfying to play. There are so many ways to get autowounds now that they're just gonna die before you get to do anything with them. And unlike Walkers, these cost 3x as much so you'll have less of them.

Fwiw, I'm getting about 240-270 on the calculator as-is. Stats get you 115. I'd say 205 is like the floor.

I think that's a bit high just because they're susceptible to a lot of things having only one life. Autowounders would wreck them in a single round, basically. Their powers are REALLY good, but everything else is almost a negative, so I think the 150 estimate might be closer.

That said, I'm down for an uncommon here too. If we really want them to be cheap an swarmy, they'd have to lose a bunch of stats and maybe the resurrection thing, and having them with low stats seems kinda lame with them being giant robots.

My first thought was to draft 10 of them into a 24 hex start zone along with a crew of figures that can easily hide from the enemy: Shadow Thief & Freddy types. He'd be expensive but Doomsday would be a great place to dump all your OM's while respawning 4 of these guys and Doomsday over 2 rounds (be sure to start the game with all OM's on Doomsday as well and force your opponent to deal with him while these guys move up into position for free). Other units that respawn could be good allies to have as well: Jason & Grundy types.

The potential for auto-wound powers (via d20's, unblockables, etc.) to wipe the floor with them is a concern, so those units in your opponents team are priority #1 to take out first. Once your opponent loses those options, a 7 defense respawning army could be difficult to finish off.

I'm going to actually vote nay, not that it does much at this point if you get 5 yeas, but I don't think this design is ready for initial testing.

That vulnerability is accounted for in my 205 estimate. Otherwise I’d feel more confident in 240-270.

There is no way one Deathtrooper can be worth about as much as the whole Fire Demons squad.
