Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
So like I said I was messing around with Blender. I got a 3D model of Colossus from the internet that I could download as an obj file and imported that into blender. Then I rigged and posed the model, and exported it as an stl file. It's not the easiest, the weight painting is tricky, but here's what I got so far.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1u4...-XgwhyBKPhJqTe I tried to pose it as close as I could to the pose on the C3G card, but you can see by his upper left shoulder and left side of his back it's a bit funky looking. My goal is to keep working on some superhero types because of the amount of free 3D models out there and get better. It's not the quickest process so I doubt I'll grow a big library very quickly, but if I get a few I'll start a new post in the correct area. Didn't want to make a brand new thread for just 1 stl file that could use a little polishing. Still, it's a step in the right direction. I'll print this out tomorrow and we'll see how it looks, gonna try making it 32mm high. Edit- I tweaked it, looks a little better. Last edited by shaolin; September 28th, 2018 at 08:37 AM. |

I understand what you're saying about the shoulder, but I'm not much good at rotating limbs and sculpting either. |

Yeah I mean it’s not unsightly, and probably less noticeable on a mini figure compared to zooming in on the laptop. I probably should’ve put the shoulder joint closer to his neck, he has a lot of chest. All that considered it’s not bad for a first attempt, and (hopefully) I can only get better from here. |

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
Yes, it's glow in the dark. Doesn't last long, but it makes a cool effect for a while.
