Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Cyclops *1*)
He also works pretty well as a solo leader if you bring Telepaths and Mutant Sidekicks.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Cyclops *1*)
True. Him, Jubilee, Armor, and Psylocke is a fun little 600 point core.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Cyclops *1*)
Scott is more efficient than Chuck, just less flexible. Angel and Mutant Sidekicks are a must.
Being able to move Angel with Mutant Field Commander (and carry someone with him), then get a Telepath Turn, then get a Mutant Sidekick turn, is pretty great for one OM. Personally I almost never take him with Chuck anymore, I just use him as the hub of his own build when I play him. |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Angel)
C3G's Raelin. I mostly just use him for easy Professor X transportation, but Guardian Angel + Swift Carry + Stealth Flying is something the super competitive types like to exploit every inch out of.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Angel)
Oh yeah, he's probably one of the most-played units for me. That free reposition after enemy attacks is just amazing, especially when you're facing any kind of melee multi-attacker.
He's seen some recent competition in that field with Nightcrawler II, who is more expensive but offers offensive potential. But if you're looking for a cheap unit that'll pretty much always make your team 20% better, Angel is the way to go. |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Angel)
Yeah, he's great as filler. Most armies don't get a ton from a sub-100 point unit, but Angel really gives you a lot of utility for that cost. Def one of those figures I look for when I'm trying to squeeze out those last few points in an army.
Professor X + Angel are really BFFs of course, but other OM hogs appreciate him too. |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Angel)
Hard to find a better figure under 150 points that's more universally useful and beneficial to any army than Angel. Get him into the action, and just let him do his thing. Figures who like height or getting disengaged really love him. Multi-melee attackers especially hate him.

You only say that because a certain Duck is unreleased.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Angel)
Nah, I stand by my statement. I'll take a figure that's constantly doing stuff over one who does nothing, even if I lose because of it.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Angel)
A bit of a weird combo is throwing Angel in on a team with Walkers. Angel can reposition them to set up Walking Dead unblockables.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Angel)
Yeah I could see that trick working well with War Machine too to keep backing up his Auto Chain Gun.
