Well met! Armies. Bi-pedal, non-flying, Unique (not Uncommon) heroes only, snake draft (on game day). Classic/C3V only, except Kha is allowed. Valhalla Society only (no guns). Total points may not exceed 750 per player (4 players) or 500 per player (6 players). Start Zone spaces may be added, if there are not enough (extremely unlikely in this format). [Take heed, all ye opponents!] Note. Rule change: "(teams determined before draft, on game day)" in both drafts. Now all I have left to do for 9/19 is print out ship displays for Silent Death. P.S.: Note. Silent Death game will be for 10 turns. 1st 2 players eliminated will be given 5/5 Nighthawks. Kolakoski Scape Update: Taeblewalker will be unable to attend, but Kolakoski and our newest pal will actually be here any minute for some "practice games' before tomorrow's event. I've just built the map today and put two armies together for both 500 and 750 points.

Final, final details for our 9/19 game day: Heroscape: Visceral Enmity Brax (obtained for a song from a Charlotte Goodwill) Battle for Blindgate added 9/20/2010 - download Requires 1 SotM, 1 BftU, & 1 TJ. The Map. Blindgate. The Glyphs shall be replaced by Brandar's Chest Treasure Glyphs (face down and trapped). Armies. Play. 2 games. 1st game: Team game, teams determined before draft. 2nd game: Free for All (no Void, Dragon or Glyphs, new draft). Special Dragon Rules. Brax begins the game straddling the Void in the center, occupying 4 Start Zone spaces (2 from each side). Only Brax may move/attack across the Void. Brax is chained such that he must end its movement with part of its base (Hive base, wherever it fits (even over lower WaterShadow hexes) on the Void. Brax may not move or attack during the first Round. After the first Round, each player may place one Order Marker per round on Brax. Brax may never be taken over or controlled in any other way. NAME = BRAX GENERAL= Vydar SPECIES = Dragon UNIQUENESS = Unique Hero CLASS = Young PERSONALITY = Menacing SIZE/HEIGHT = Huge 12 LIFE = 6 MOVE = 6 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 4 DEFENSE = 4 Double Attack When Brax attacks, he may attack one additional time. Reach If an opponent's figure is within 2 spaces of Brax, and its base is no more than 3 levels above Brax' height or 3 levels below Brax' base, Brax may add 1 to its range when attacking that figure. Victory Conditions. After 10 Rounds: 1 VP per unit killed (not including Brax). 1 VP per unit remaining. 1 VP per Brandar's Chest possessed (only for 1st game). And, if we get to it . . . Silent Death: Side A Dart 8/7, Dart 1/5, Dart 1/5 Spirit Rider 8/8, Spirit Rider 5/7, Spirit Rider 3/5 Teal Hawk 8/1/7, Thunderbird 1/5 Left to right, top to bottom: Teal Hawk, Spirit Rider, Talon, Lance Electra, Salamander, Pit Viper, Thunderbird, Hellbender, Blizzard, Nighthawk Pit Viper 8/8, Pit Viper 3/5, Hellbender 5/5 Blizzard 8/7, Blizzard 5/7, Blizzard 1/5 Talon 8/8, Talon 3/5 Note. The first two "practice" games for "Visceral Enmity:"
Kolakoski pulled out a win from a close team game, playing two teams at once himself! (500 Points) Quizcode beat off initial attacks from both of us to win the second game handily! (750 Points). Welcome to this new Heroscaper, site member, and NYCG4 player, who is building a new personal collection for the game. This is his third or fourth appearance with us here in Brooklyn. Today gave us a chance to work out a few kinks in the scenario, on a day which developed spontaneously at the last minute. Good thing I built the map early. A number of initially proposed team member heroes were disqualified by K,, some for funnier reasons than others, but all because they violated the original scenario army building instructions one way or another. All in all, a fun day. Good scenario and nice map. Due to Taeblewalker's recent schedule change, and a possible future one by Kolakoski, we may switch to playing Saturdays for a while...TBA. We had four amazing games of Heroscape yesterday ("Visceral Enmity" by Kolakoski). We topped if off with a game of Silent Death. What a day! We played three free for alls and a team game. Nice day, K.! Not to mention an unusual two days in a row of Scape.

Against the Aesir!
My October Scape game will be Ragnorok-themed. Up to six players will participate. All armies will be 800 points, and two of the armies have a custom that must be included. I will include the details of the custom units in another post. Good guys: Aesir: Any Jandar and Ullar Kyrie, Tarn Viking Warriors (who will be common, cost 70 points and bond with Human Champions), Finn, Thorgrim and Eldgrim Vanir: All Elves, Half-Elves and Eladrin Dwarves: All Dwarves (but no Mok!) Bad Guys: Jotunheim: Snorri the Troll King (mandatory unique hero custom), Nodens the Frost Giant Jarl (optional unique hero custom), Greater Ice Elemental, all Giants (except Mok), all Trolls, Ogres and Cyclops, Brunak Svartalfheim: Drider (mandatory to pick at least one; uncommon hero custom), all Drow, including Vienna Do'urdon (mandatory custom), Fyorlag Spiders Undead: Any undead Again, I will post details of the custom units in another post. |

Utgar Troll Unique Hero King Cruel Large 7 Life 8 Move 6 Range 1 Attack 6 Defense 5 200 points Snorri’s Orders After revealing an order marker on this army card, instead of taking a turn with Snorri, you may take a turn with up to two trolls, ogres, giants, trolticors, ettins or cyclops you control. Snorri may be one of the two figures. Great Cleave When Snorri attacks an adjacent figure, you may choose a figure that is adjacent to the figure you attack. If Snorri inflicts more wounds than needed to destroy the targeted figure, all excess wounds are inflicted on the chosen figure. Sanguine Axe At the start of each turn that you take with Snorri, remove one wound marker from this army card. If Snorri destroys a figure, remove one wound marker from this army card. Drider Utgar Arachnid Uncommon Hero Predator Wild Large 7 Life 5 Move 6 Range 1 Attack 5 Defense 4 Points 120 Shadow Strength Add one to this Drider’s attack and defense if it is on a dungeon or shadow space. Drow Hero Bonding After revealing an order marker on this army card, you may take a turn with a Drow hero you control before taking a turn with this Drider. Poisoned Blade If you inflict at least one wound on an opponent’s figure, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 1-11, nothing happens. Vierna Do’Urdon Utgar Drow Unique Hero Arachnomancer Devout Medium 4 Life 4 Move 6 Range 5 Attack 3 Defense 3 Cost 80 Lolth’s Favor When you roll a 20-sided die for a power on the army card of any friendly Drow or Arachnid figure, you may add 2 to the roll. Faerie Fire When a friendly figure attacks an opponent’s figure within six clear sight spaces of Vierna with a normal attack, that figure may re-roll up to two attack dice twice thaqt did not show skulls. Figures on shadow spaces that are affected by Faerie Fire do not receive the shadow bonus to defense. Hide in Darkness q.v. I have to finish the details on Nodens. Kudos to chas for hosting us once again at the Game Palace! Had a great time. My performance in the FFAs was forgettable, and we all fumbled around the dragon during the team game - which I believe my team also lost, although it was close. As for the Dragon, I got him for a song from a Goodwill in Charlotte. I plan to use him again soon, but must create a 6-hex base for him (used Hive base in game).
