Looks like it. Vandal better kill off the Doctor before using his double OMs!

They seem like the kind of characters who would face off, so that works thematically for me too.

Fwiw, getting 315 for him on the calculator. His base stats only come out to 185.

I somewhat worry that Chessmaster will just feel like mind control in practice, which seems a bit off thematically, but others have expressed enthusiasm for the theme there, so I guess I'd just say to see how it plays?

The X reveal is on a card you control, so you're only moving a figure you control. I see that as a planning/orders type movement, not him mind controlling his team etc.

I was thinking he may be a bit lower than 395 just because he'll have vulnerability to anything that has a SA, auto-wound/unblockables etc. & his other powers are limited. Really comes down to how much one can capitalize on those OMs.

I definitely could be overestimating his cost, I'm happy to start initial testing in the lower 300s. Tricky one to theoryscape.

I mentioned the permanent double X's as a possibility if we ditched the double OMs. But I think that'd be a bit much to add currently and distract from his main power.

Good call. I definitely didn't fully process the "you control" restriction there. That definitely sells it better for me.

Agreed. I think there's just the right amount of complexity on him at the moment.
