Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
Priorities! Greatest superhero trilogy of all time (though the Captain America one gives it a run).
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

I'll give you that the first 15 minutes of Superman I was truly excellent. After that, we'll just agree to disagree.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
I remembered Superman I being great but I tried watching it with my son recently and it seemed to drag a lot. We didn't get to finish it.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
In preparation for the upcoming Glass, I watched both Unbreakable and Split yesterday - I had seen neither. As others have said Unbreakable is probably better received now that it was 18 years ago when it came out for two major reasons: First is people were comparing it to Sixth Sense/Signs and the "twist ending" was not as good so was dismissed for that alone by critics and viewers at the time instead of judging the movie on its own, which in hindsight critics are now saying it is a better directed, acted, and has a better story than those 2 movies or anything else M. Night Shyamalan made. Secondly is kind of spoiler:
Spoiler Alert!
Split was good too, although kind of creepy for my tastes. When it came out last year it was overshadowed by Get Out (a great movie btw) and people were leery after Shyamalan's last couple movies were bombs. And the ending changed the whole genre of that film as well:
Spoiler Alert!
I am really looking forward to Glass now. For those that did not see either Unbreakable or Split I recommend seeing both in the order they came out in the next week or so. Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
Wow, that's like the best movie DC has ever made. Heath Ledger's Joker is legendary. I know it's hard for a movie to live up to years of hype but this one just might. I'd move it to the top of your list, I doubt you will be disappointed. I'll disagree with Bats though on the best comic book trilogy, Capt. America has moved ahead of the Nolan Batman trilogy. The last one with Bane just wasn't nearly as good as the first two while the CA trilogy ended on a very high note. I'm excited about Glass as well and will most likely see it soon after it comes to theaters. Just saw Split a few days ago and enjoyed it. Saw Unbreakable when it came out and liked it at the time. |

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
Yeah I feel like Cap’s trilogy should be penalized for the movies not fully working outside of the greater context of the MCU.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
I'm talking about the one where Peggy Carter dies leaving Bucky Barnes the last person on Earth alive that knew Steve in WWII. Then Tony tries to murder Bucky and Steve must prevent him from doing so. Some high personal stakes at play for Captain America.

I don't think we can be friends any longer until you correct this fatal personality flaw...
