Oh boy, @Lazy Orang was certainly correct in assuming the size restriction was leftovers, which is never what we want to be serving our fine judges here at CHOPS.

Also, why are you even in this thread? The poll is where all the goodies are!

We all know how long it can take to judge these sorts of long-term, multi-part, nearly year long cooking competitions. And that's why we at the CHOPS judge table have taken so long to bring you the winner of our recent CHOPS contest (that's definitely the reason and anybody who questions that will be escorted out by our winner's dinner).

With that said, it was not an easy decision. While there were a few competitors who showed to to all three rounds, and a couple who were in the running despite having missed a round, I think we can all agree that there is one contender who stands out above the rest.

We saw consistency, thematics, and, most importantly, just wanted to keep coming back for seconds with every dish this fine chef served us.

It started small, and ended small, but that's not a bad thing. When your main course is as outstanding as this competitor's was you don't want to gorge yourself with the appetizer and you probably don't have much room left for much dessert. If you haven't guessed it by now, that makes sense because you probably don't remember who entered what in which contests so I guess I should just come out and say it..............

Skeletal Dwarf

Errant magic, it was. The wizard’s misspoken incantation, meant to protect the lives of his Dwarven comrades, brought something very different, indeed. Terrified, he watched as the skeletal remains of fallen Axegrinders rose from their bloodied and battered corpses. But as these skeletons picked up arms and armor and continued the battle, his terror found a new home in the eyes of his foes.

None knew how long Pleocyemata dwelled in the Valhallan swamps. The ancient crustacean was content to live out his days in peace, munching on the occasional fish or amphibian or even larger land creature that had the misfortune to become lost in the swamp. No malice. Just sustenance. Peace. The Marro changed all that. Their Hives upset the balance of the swamp. Armies muddied the already dark waters, while weapons manufacture poisoned them. If only their gangly bodies were good eating, perhaps he could have tolerated them. But, no. These spoilers must be destroyed. An Aquillan squad, surrounded by a Marro ambush, witnessed first-hand Pleocyemata's wrath. One by one, Stinger, Drudge, Divider, returned to the swamp that spawned them, dragged down by huge pincers. Saved from certain doom, the Aquillans were determined to inform their general of a potential ally.

Frost Dwarf

Across the mountains, through the ice and snow, a treasure awaited. And what dwarf can resist treasure? Especially treasure that might win freedom for their brethren. But, treasure is rarely left unguarded. Finding their way to the cave, the searching band was met by powerful magick, greedy magick. A magick that did not wish to share its hoard. Jandar plucked them away before they could be frozen for all eternity, but not before the magick had altered the dwarves forever...

Not only did he win the most competitive round of CHOPS, he placed well in every single round and was the only competitor* to have such a common thread cross from his appetizer to his dessert. This is truly a well earned victory. The prizes** are in the mail.

You'll hear the word in approximately 10 minutes. Things are crazy but also kind of wonderful in the world of the goomonkey but the QC3 must take precedence at some point.

It's that time again! Well, well past that time... But let's not dwell on that, we're just fine. Everything's okay here!

Anyway, I think I speak for everyone who's been stuck at home with our QCP's (quite cute puppies) when I say the lack of doggos fighting for good in Valhalla is shocking. Not just any doggos, of course. Robot doggos. We don't wanna see little guys like this on the battlefield, now do we?

No, no, no... that's why we've brought in these good boys to take his place and protect all the other, more fleshy good boys stuck at home.

For this contest, you are submitting one unit using either of those robot dogs. That entry is due June 17.

Rules:

1. Entries must be sent to me via PM.

2. Keep your entry anonymous while the contest is running.

3. Only 1 entry per member.

4. You may not vote for your own entry as the winner (even if it is the best), and you must vote in the poll if you enter.

5. You must use the miniatures named.

6. Entries cannot follow Utgar or Valkrill.


Other Clarifications:

All contestants will be included in the poll if there are 15 or fewer entries, if there are 16-19 I will decide on a Top Ten, and if there are 20 or more I will decide on a Top Fifteen.

You may reuse your old customs

You may enter if you do not make a card for your unit. If you submit the entry early enough I will make a card for you. Also, it's pretty easy to make your own, just use @Xorlof 's awesome card creator and one of the many free photoshop programs (I use GIMP, now).

If you want to change your entry you can, just PM me before I post the poll.

Character bios are allowed, and they might tip the scales in your favor so I recommend them.

Anonymity is not that all that serious. You may remember my blunder a few contests back when all of the card URLs had the creators' names in them (actually I did that for a couple before someone mentioned it). Once the poll comes up, I would prefer to have lively conversation than to have intact anonymity. Don't say which is yours, obviously, but also don't worry if you think your attempt to hide which one is yours went terribly.

Further note on anonymity, you could even play online games with them to playtest, just don't share them publicly. Don't make anonymity get in the way of anything at all, it's kind of a joke. I'm actually very serious about how much of a joke it is.

For further, probably unnecessary clarification, this is sort of a "back-to-the-basics" contest. You can do whatever you want with these minis for the custom. Make a Unique, Uncommon, or Unique Hero using one (or both) figures, or make some sort of squad. We will probably try to run some sort of fancier contest every few contests, like the CHOPS trio, but the heart and soul of the QC3 really is your unbridled creativity. Look at those robo-doggos and let it run wild.

EDIT: Also since I'm sure this will be asked I presume these figures to be a small 3... If anybody actually owns them please do not hesitate to correct me.
