No problem tweaking the numbers to make sure it's tolerable and fair. We can bump the throw to 3-9, and the wound to 10 or higher for starters. This gives it a higher chance nothing happens, higher chance of throw/hitting them away to avoid further damage, and of course lower chance of more wounding.

GRUNDY CRUSH!
After attacking, if the defending figure received one or more wounds and is engaged with Solomon Grundy, roll the 20-sided die. Subtract the defending figure's remaining Life number from the roll. If you roll:
• 3-9, place the defending figure on an empty space exactly X spaces from its current position, ignoring all leaving engagement attacks, then roll an unblockable attack die against a figure or Destructible Object adjacent to the defending figure. X equals the number of wounds the figure has received this turn; or
• 10 or higher, the defending figure receives 1 wound, then roll the 20-sided die again.
