Re: Soul Gem - Design/Review
1.0 Design
Changes: 1.0 version negated all powers on the card and only allowed for a Normal attack. Removed that restriction. |

Re: Soul Gem - Design/Review
I'd reword to something like this - I'm not sure the required to defeat a figure with a normal/special attack is necessary so I removed that.
Thought about switching the Robot restriction to Inorganic, but with it affecting souls, Robots as the sole exclusion makes sense. Quote:

Re: Soul Gem - Design/Review
The ability titles are just going to be the item names, right?
I'd remove the attack restriction. Just let it trigger on the defeat of any figure that's not a Robot. I'd probably do like: SOUL GEM Anytime this figure defeats a figure that is not a Robot, you may place the defeated figure on this card. Figures may not be removed from this card except by this Item. After attacking with this figure, you may revive a figure on this card at Full Life and place it within 5 clear spaces of this figure. Activate the placed figure, then remove it from the game. You may not activate additional figures this turn. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Soul Gem - Design/Review
Not completely sure after attacking is the best timing trigger. Do we want people with multiple attacks being able to release a soul bonding turn in between their attacks? Other options are after an attack action (some cards may have more than one of these though as well), after the attack phase, during transition, during clean up, or after activating this figure.

Re: Soul Gem - Design/Review
Maybe after the Attack Phase or after activation wouldbe even cleaner?

Yeah, I agree that's better timing
