Map Strategy
This is thread about how to adapt to a map army wise, and strategy wise.
Coming soon: J-Bird's map, Rooks and Pawns Key Points: The first step to success is knowing where to go, you need to prioritize, I have circled the important spots on the map, pretend you are on the right side, first you want to get as high as possible, get a fairly strong range unit onto the tower on the far right, such as Syvvaris or Kaemon Awa, now you have a very strong offensive force. Rush the remaining ranged units to the towers in the middle, snipe from there, or bring an offensive force down the middle, this is an example of how to prioritize a map using key points. Adapting to a map: In an Ice map, things get a little slow, you are going to want an army that can work effectively without move, or can move fast, or gets bonuses on snow, like the Dzu-Teh, or Nerak, without an adapted army, you can end up moving almost nowhere, dont try units like, Krug for instance, you wont get anywhere, you will be sniped out by range before, KRUG SMASH!!!, comes into effect, a heavy range army works great on snow maps, because the -movement does not matter too much. On a lava map the obsidian gaurds, and Brunkak will dominate, do to the fact they are not hurt by lava, which can slaughter even the most imposing units, the obsidian gaurds even get range. Lava requires to types of armies, Brunak, obsidian gaurds, flying units (Saylind can dominate), and some heavy range, maybe even a dragon with a range attack, a good strategy might be to take the obsidian gaurds and put them in the liquid lava where nobody is going to get them, and send saylind up to some safe height, and summon a unit like, Kaemon awa for instance, these types of armies will easily dominate a lava battle field. |

great tips, I'll be sure to use them.
critics should be friends not enemies. I'm not dead yet I use imaginary logic, the square root of negative logic. |
