Re: Atlaga and the Protectors Discussion Thread
Another fantastic preview. Thanks Truth!
Atlaga with the Minions and Sentinels is nasty. 5 range Minions now have less to worry about as they charge along the field skewering everything that moves. Atlaga is no slouch himself - that 25% chance to instant kill Q9, an opposing Raelin, or Zelrig sure looks attractive... The Protectors don't seem as good, but they're not the Imperium all over again, that's for sure. 3 defense is going to get them killed, but you aren't losing most of your army when they go down. Drafting one of these guys in a drafting environment (with Atlaga, of course) seems to be one of the better ways to play them. You don't lose too significant a chunk of your army when they go down, and if you're drafting Atlaga you probably have some Minions in the wings anyway. Re: Atlaga and the Protectors Discussion Thread
Atlaga's bonus movement will help a lot of kyrie forces and that's a good thing. The EI especially need some help
I will wait to see how the protectors ranged attack plays out. I really thought the ranged attack would be a special attack - a common squad with flying and range seems devastating. Also, any comparisons to the Krav really don't apply because the Krav's unique status is a built in power check. |
