Is the design all good as is for a higher point character?

Here's my attempt at editing the Toa Mata a bit.

Looks fun - don't play the game, but that just looks fun.

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
Right now I would say there isn't all that much tension between his two modes. Is that something you're comfortable with? I think he's pretty much gonna want to do the Blaze King thing all the time.
Agreed. Side note, do I remember correctly that you wanted Winston to be able to drop the glyph mid-leap? Because you could effectively do that by specifying an empty space "Winston occupied or passed over this turn" in the first power. |

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
Yeah that's what I'm looking for, thanks Ronin.
I think Winston might actually be one of the more viable ones in this thread. The mini that the C3V used for Zaeus looks pretty similar, and I bet a bunch of Scapers already own it. |

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
New round of Toa commentary!
Group as a whole How do you feel about Toa as a class? Kinda sparked by discussion of something else in-Sanctum, do you think it would be better to go for a more general class to keep them a little more integrated with the game? I could see them working as Guardians or something. (And Tahu's leadership powers could key off Cyborg Guardians so you're not teaming him up with the heavies in that class) Tahu, Kopaka and Onua Seems like we're pretty much on the same page here. Dig the digging power on Onua. Pohatu I think the boulder should probably be down to 1 Life. Dig the slow Speedster approach and Power Kick, though. Gali Not sure about Double Attack here. It gives her an extra little mechanical wrinkle, but I'm not sure it's really essential to the character. I was thinking that if she picked up anything extra, it would be something to represent her peacemaker role - something that could help out with team cohesion a little bit. Lewa I like Vine Swing for him, but I think it's a real shame to skip his levitation powers in any form, and I still have some reservations about the exact wind powers I gave him. I'd be tempted to scrap everything but Vine Swing here and re-do the wind/levitation stuff. |

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
I think Cyborg Warrior could be really cool, it kinda captures the high-tech vs. primitive dichotomy. I could see them getting along well with Wonder Woman and the like. There was talk of Robotman being a Guardian, and that would be a slightly weird (although not unwelcome) team-up. I also don't mind Toa as a class either.
I like the idea of a peacemaker ability for Gali. My thinking for Double Attack basically just went as deep as "She has two hooks" so I'm not too attached to it. I do think it would be nice for them all to have 3 powers for symmetry's sake. I'd be down for a rework of Lewa, but I don't really dislike the SA. Pushing people around feels mischievous, which is what I want to see out of him. Other than that, I pretty much agree with what you're saying. I'm kinda bummed these guys probably won't happen. |

Don't think you can really do much for minis without getting into the 3-D scanning/printing game, though. (I don't know a lot about that, but I'm assuming it's possible to scale models with the right editing software - in which case, you could scan the actual lego set itself and scale it down to get a printable model. No idea about a lot of the practicalities there, though.) |

Didn't occur to me before, but you could technically also go Matoran for species, since Toa are mainly souped-up Matoran. It's muddied a little bit with the original Toa, though, since they were never Matoran. I do think you could justify a schema where the regular Matoran are Citizens, the Toa are Champions/Warriors/Guardians, and the Turaga are Leaders/Elders, though, and they all get the Matoran species to stay under one banner. Obviously that route requires skipping Toa as a class. Worth considering if we're looking at a different class anyway, though. Quote:
