The wave 11 and 12 include figures from a list that WOTC and we worked on together. Colby scoured the D&D line for figures he felt were good for use in Heroscape. The waves include many of my personal favorite D&D minis figures. I didn't have to contribute much because the choices were all good. They chose good figures.

How would you say they stack up compared to the MS3 figs? About the same, better/worse?

Thanks Grungebob. Really appreciate the insight into the relationship with WOTC. D&D is their baby, so it makes sense that they would weigh in. But I'm happy to hear they didn't have you on really short leashes.

You guys did a really good job making the Granite Guardians and Quasatch Hunters interesting units. As repaints, I was initially less than enthused. And the same goes for MS3... it feels fresh. I upped my pre-order to 5 sets after the preview.

Looking forward to see what you came up with in Waves 11 & 12.

Then for what its worth, I just proxied everything for the first time, and the team did a hell of a job on this set. The new stuff is great. Even Erevan, who is getting a bad reputation before he has even been released, is a great drow-killing design.

Seriously, good work all around. You've got me really psyched for the next wave.

What method is used when the design team point values a character? Do you have a mathematical equation to figure out a figures worth by their stats, or is it a field test to see how much of such and such they can kill?
