There is a Polar Warbear figure in the Frozen Horror expansion for HeroQuest that is useful. Its an armored bear with a mace. It's head is about 4 1/2 hexes high, the mace is held up and adds another hex. It only comes 2/box and there is only one sculpt.

This is about the only AOA thread I haven't posted much on, because for now I plan to just use figures lying around the house. But I just played my first four AOA Proxy Play games, using every new Revealed or Unrevealed card from the Haslab Offering, with Anitar's cards and a few of my own. We used every AOA card except the 5 SOTM Heroes. Those were ready to go, but were not in the plan yet.

My opponent Taeblewalker took lots of pictures, which should appear soon, with the commentaries I'll be writing up. So in a couple of days or so, it will all be available for viewing--see my signature line thread below for The New York City Gang of Four. There are already all kinds of posts there about how I'm doing my own AOA Proxy Play Project, which has now just begun, after a lot of prep work.

Check this thread out down below soon for photos and commentary. I'll also post a list of which proxies I used for these initial games, if it gives you some ideas! Only about half a dozen of them were Scape figures.

This picture from the Haslab is quite helpful in determining scale for all these proxies:


According to this, the bears/cats should be 57mm (2 1/4") tall. Vorids should be 27mm (1 1/16").

If others are thinking about ordering these and are also interested in other units, you might be able to get them all from the same place to save on shipping:

Just wanted to report that I’m still working with Josh at GooseMinis to get 3 of these cats/bears in hand. The first round there were some sculpt defects, and they were too small, so we’re giving it one more try.

Since Anitar has now done a set of cards for the 7 AOA Kyries, I'm wondering if there is a set of Christmas Angels out there that would work!
