Looks like I overlooked the adjacent aspect of the power, and treated it as if he had to pass over them. There were definitely times he could have just stayed still, or gotten people that he ended adjacent to but couldn't quite fly over, that I didn't take advantage of due to not realizing that aspect of the power.

I'd suggest making it just pass over, or SW's suggestion, in that case.

I like SW's suggested tweak as well. I expected him to be worth his points back when he was one unblockable in total, so not totally shocked to see folks wanting to pull him back a little.

LAVA RESISTANT
Firelord never rolls for molten lava damage or lava field damage and does not have to stop in molten lava spaces.

Cosmic Heat: 4 wounds with Cosmic Heat. Put wounds on Bulldozer, Wrecker and Piledriver.


Started out kiting with Surfer and Firelord getting some early wounds on Wrecker and Thunderball. The Crew rolled well on the d20 and got quite a few extra turn and were able to close the distance on Firelord. Firelord took a LEA from Bulldozer giving him a fourth wound, once flying he did hit 3 figures for 4 wounds but ended up next to Piledriver. On the next turn Piledriver hit Firelord for 2 more wounds and Thunderball finished him off. Surfer held on for a while but a Wrecker/Thunderball turn ended the game.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Wrecker 4 wounds/2 life left, Thunderball 3 wounds/3 life left

Units: 1000 pts – Firelord, Captain America 240, Ms Marvel 350, Skrull Infiltrator VS 1000 - pts Fantastic Four

Damage Dealt: 5 wounds for normal attacks/Power Cosmic Boost – 3 on Mr Fantastic on 1 attack

Cosmic Heat: Did 6 wounds hitting all but Human Torch. Rolled poorly 6 hits on 16 chances. The Fan4 being somewhat podded up allowed his lots of opportunities which if he hit could of allowed for a win.


Firelord and Ms Marvel got Human Torch and Mr Fantastic down to 1 life each and both got clobbered but The Thing. Ms Marvel got One Shot by him. And Firelord took 4 wounds over 2 attack to get taken out. Firelord couldn't finish off Mr F once he was Rubber Wrapped and that allowed thing to hit him hard.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: I feel like the change to Firelord's Cosmic Heat power is a good one. He went 0-2 in these 2 games but had a chance in both. Game 2 easily could have been a win but poor unblockable rolls did his team in. Still feels like a 400 pt figure.

Went 1-3 with the 2 unblockables. Lots of potential for big wounds, but there are ways around it. Still happy with where he is at at 400 points.
