Huh, that's super weird. Interestingly enough, whenever I edit my old posts, it converts them back to the mention code, too. I guess it's not just a problem with my computer displaying the mentions.

In Options try changing the Message Editor Interface from/to Basic/Standard/Enhanced.

Unfortunately, I just tried out both changing the Message Editor and a second browser and neither seem to have fixed the issue.

Huh. I wonder if there was something in my text that attracted it somehow, and that was edited out? Or maybe I just got accidentally deleted and then undeleted.

I (and I think Bats) delete the posts and ban the bot. Then I disappear the bot by merging all the posts together with the last post in the thread. And now it practically looks like the bot was never there. Only a handful of people have commented, but people do seem to like fewer deleted bot post clutter so that's why I've been doing it.

Yep. Pretty sure only Mods and Admins can see the remains of the deleted posts, but if there's like 30-40 of them in a row it can be a real pain to scroll through threads, even if they're just the stubs of deleted posts, so I tend to merge the little bastards out of existence.

Merging them together probably gets rid of the issue of having another page number you can click on, but it doesn't actually go to another page, because it's just a deleted post.
