Where do you create your custom terrain?
I'm interested in seeing the labs that have become the second home to the mad scientists that create custom terrain for this game. I'll start with some pics of my workshop where I have several projects currently in progress.
The Paint, Flocking and Glue Center A 6-Drawer Tote with Bits, Tools, Foliage, Styrene and other important items for custom creation My workbench (only half of it) More parts of the work space with other tools and equipment So, go ahead and post some pics of your work area, I'm interested in seeing where everyone works on their creations. |

My garage is set up as a work shop for the various things that I work on, including woodworking, Heroscape and fixing stuff. I had to set up a work area for the Heroscape stuff, since I had accumulated a bunch of paints and supplies.

Two things I learned as a mechanic with the army and a radar technician with the Navy, everything has it's place and clean up as you go. Everytime I finish using a tool or item, it goes right back into it's appropriate location. I can't tell you how many times I go to the garage and find a missing peg from when my wife borrowed a tool, then put it back somewhere else.

I'm just in the process of creating my first piece of custom terrain now. I have all of the parts glued together and the whole thing is primed. Now comes color decisions and the technique portion of the whole thing. As far as where I did it though, it was built on a card table in my designated HeroScape room, primed in a cardboard box on my porch. The painting process will take place at the same card table as mentioned before. It really is nothing fancy, especially after seeing Cycoduck's.
