Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
I had setup and played a bigger game of Legion, 1014 points each side. There is a Rapid Reinforcements condition that has each side set aside 2 trooper units and they come in during the 2nd round but are just placed and don't activate until the 3rd round. There are 4 moisture vaporators that are in play. They start out with 2 wounds each and the Imperials are trying to destroy them, while the Rebels are trying to repair them. A trooper unit leader (either squad leader or individual trooper character) can spend an action while engaged with a moisture vaporator to add a wound to it (Imperials) or remove a wound from it (Rebels). Max wounds is 4 and Imps get 1 point for each wound over 2. Rebels get 1 point for each wound under 2.
Also, R2D2 and C3PO are playing for the Rebels and R2 has a Secret Mission ability on his card. If he gets into the enemy deployment zone (he doesn't have to stay there), he gets a vp token and if he survives the game, the Rebels get that vp. Also, Bossk has a Bounty where he can put a vp token on an enemy commander or operative character's card and if he puts the final damage on them and he survives, the Imps get that vp. I had added a houserule condition whereas the Imps get 2vp if the Occupier Tank gets off the enemy side of the board because it needs to break through to deliver valuable crystals. The Rebels get 2 vp if they destroy it. The Rebels ended up winning 9 -2. I played poorly as the Imperials. Sabine had placed 2 explosives in the road that the tank was going for and like a dummy I backed up and changed directions and headed for the laser cannon. Between that and an AT-RT with a laser weapon and the Airspeeder, the tank got destroyed easily. I also didn't use Bossk as effectively as I should have and my Scout troopers got killed early. Leia has a command card that allows for her to target 3 enemies at range 4+ and attack them with airstrikes. That hurt, thankfully it's a one time use. R2 got to the Imperial deployment zone and survived to get the vp. C3PO didn't survive the mission. When I did Rapid Reinforcements for the Imperials, they were in the open by the industrial side of the board and took a beating. I will try it again before tearing it down and moving on to other games. Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
Thanks
@Tornado
!
Unfortunately the company that made them doesn't sell them anymore. Also, they were "supposed to" stack. But you can only put a smaller building on a couple bigger ones that have extra wide roofs. Apparently, the designer had miscalculated the width of the material and it's too snug to stack like they were all supposed to. I was able to get a store credit for the value of the building kits, so while disappointing, it's ok. Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
I've also gotten into playing the Star Wars rpg by Fantasy Flight Games. It's a play by forum on boardgame geek. Spent last weekend coming up with a character and background. There is the GM and 6 players, 4 from the US, 1 from Australia and 1 from Sweden.
My buddy Brian is also in it. My character is of the Bothan race and is a Politico. She was an ambassador who betrayed an Imperial Service Bureau officer named Colonel Jaeger. She is a week fighter but awesome at negotiations and charm, as well as deception. She had gained info from the ISB officer regarding their plans to eliminate some Rebel cells. She passed the word to the Bothan spy network and the Imperial plans were thwarted. Before that happened, she used her influence with Colonel Jaeger to release a Mirialan that had been been detained. That Mirialan's name is Kerai and as thanks, she agreed to be Nann's (my character ) bodyguard. But they had to flee because of her betrayal to the Empire. Ended up on a giant space station called The Wheel, where an infochant at the Blasted Asteroid Cantina hooked Nann and Kerai up with a Twilek named Reom for a job. There are 4 others also recruited by Reom, a Mandalorian, an Archeologicist, an Outlaw Tech and Smuggler/Thief. Pretty fun and it is very narrative. Lots of good creativity by the GM and all the characters (though the Mandalorian is not as good). So far I've used my charm and negotiating skills to get us 50% more money for the mission and saved us 25% on the gear we bought at Farlanders Outfitters. I also found out some good info from the infochant. I know I'll suck in combat, so I wanted to use my talents as much as possible before we take off in out ship to seek out a missing old Republic treasure ship that has been missing and sought out for many years. Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
Great batreps
@Hahma
. Also cool looking assaultrons. I have been wanting to play some legion really bad lately. Since the Quarantine stuff has eased up to almost nothing around our place, I think my brother is going to come out and play sometime next week. I took a break from doing my minis and terrain to paint my wife a set of Garden gnomes I 3d printed her for her flower garden. I also took a bit of time to set up a bunch of 3d print files for my resin printer that I'll be printing for legion. I have build plates set up to print some cool alternative phase 1 clones, and phase 2 clone troopers, along with some pretty cool B2 Battle droids. I also put together some pretty neat models of mandolorians that I had found. There is a ton more, but it takes a little longer for me to add supports in my 3d program for the resin files. I downloaded a ton of the latest scans of Heroscape figures as well from thingiverse. Alot of those monsters will be fun to play around with scale with and print them for other games and give them different paint jobs. I'm also pretty close to finishing my new terrain board. It has a Coruscant Underworld feel to it with landing platforms in the upper parts. I'm slowly collecting quite a few Legion sized star wars figures without cards to make NPCs and such in Legion scale. It would be fun to use them in an RPG like the one you are talking about. I almost finished painted my Saviors for Walking Dead as well. I got a bit sidetracked this last week doing stuff around my place for my wife. I fixed a leaky sink in my bathroom and yesterday put down 50 rolls of sod in my back yard. I still need about 30 rolls more but will have to wait until monday to pick it up. I have been wanting to play, but have found that I always have something to work on and something new to paint, so I have just been doing that until I get a chance to play some games with some others in the near future. The Corona Virus isn't as rampant out here in Idaho/Utah as it is in some of the larger cities.

Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
Would you be open to taking some pics of your Walking Dead figures for C3G TREX?
Nothing in the works currently but I would like to get around to carding some of them someday. |

Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
Yeah, Id be fine with that. My phone isnt the best for taking pics because Im pretty hard on it while mechanicing. The walking dead figures are the perfect size for scape. I just havent been bothering to make customs lately. Its a bit too much work as I have a mountain of other hobby projects to do even without making customs.
