I really didn't like Pokemon 'til I got the game. I didn't for many years but then the game looked cool and I started it again.

It got okay reviews. For me, an avid 40k fan, that is good enough.

All fantastic choices. Advance Wars is a great RTS. Contra IV just came out - it's supposed to be the best Contra yet, so if you like the genre, go for it! Castelvanias are also supposed to be great. Final Fantasy III just came out for DS, and IV will be out in a year or so. Phoenix Wright is one of my favorite games of all time.
