Speed Terrain Contests have been around for some time now, so it seems a little overdue to have a tribute thread dedicated to the hosts who put the effort in to stimulate custom terrain building in the community, and the participants who continue to wow us with inspiring customs. It is my goal here to put together a resource page for faster referencing of all things to do with "Terrain Contests" and mabe even help out the hosts of these events so that they may quickly reference what has and hasnt been done before.

For starters I'd like to thank Cycoduck for getting the ball rolling as the father of the STC. Further thanks are due to Chief, who kept it going strong, and we certainly cant forget Liefkicker, who blew us away in the first three contests. Finally I'd like to thank the community, without your support and participation there would be no Speed Terrain Contest.

Contest Rules/Submissions/Prizes

RULES
1 Have fun
2 In order to be an eligible participant you must follow all guidelines provided in each contest and turn in you’re entry by the due date.
3 Once final submission is posted you are in the contest and you’re creation will be submitted as an entry.
4 No more than one entry per person. If someone creates more than one entry you must pick one to be submitted.
5 You may not submit a previous entry OR terrain made within 2 months of the contest posting.
6 All entry’s must be reasonably compatible with the Heroscape battle system created by Hasbro and now run by WOTC.

SUBMISSIONS
All submissions must follow all guidelines and not be in violation of the rules of this site. To officially be entered in the contest you must do three things.
1 make an entry
2 take 3 pictures, a maximum of 2 with figures and/or other official Heroscape terrain and 1 photo of the entry completely BY IT'S SELF
3 pm the entry’s to me or if specified send them to Leifkicker.

IF all of these conditions are met you will be

entered in the contest.

Prizes
Prizes are only given if there are at least five entrys in the contest. You may choose one of the smaller customs that Liefkicker makes, Demon gate, marr pieces, etc. Please follow the Link to Liefkickers E-Bay store to check them out. Theme- Contestants are to create a dungeon expansion. Their has been a huge support for the new master set here at heroscapers. Lets show our appreciation here as custom terrain makers! Create some type of dungeon themed expansion to go along with our newest mater set!
Hexes- Each entry needs to use equivalent of surface space of 12 to 24 hexes. If you create objects with height or pillars of hexes the height spaces will not count into your hex total. Only spaces that are accessible for figures to land onto or for objects to be placed onto like an actual terrain expansion (like trees).
Figures- Your entry needs to pictured with 1 to 3 classic heroscape figures or 2 D&D MS3 figures.
Time Limit- February 2nd - 16th creation time
February 17th - 20th initial votes are to be placed in thread
February 23rd - 25th creators will have a editing period

Theme-Build a themed terrain expansion. The idea is to come up with something that you might find on the shelf right next to the other official heroscape expansions.

Hexes- The terrain object/object's may not have a total base larger then 20 hexes. If you are limited on your hex's and do no wish to use a hex tile then you may substitute another base that is the same size and shape, such as a cut out piece of card board etc.

Figures- When taking photo's for your entry you may use any official or custom figure!

Theme- Einar has dispatched his Ninjas to reinforce the alliances small war force and the new allies called "Moon tribe" kyrie. But while traveling up through a pass in the Volcarren Wastelands only known by Eniars forces they discover something unexcpected. One of the "rivers" of the wastelands has dried up. Upon investigtion they find themselves traveling far to the northeast, a place to hot for even the Obsidian Guards to live in for long. The whole time though the ground and air seems unusaually cool for this region. As they reach the end of the river bed they discover a massive valley filled with dried up lava fields and lakes with only a little magma in them. Then their eyes fall upon the center of the valley and see the source of all this irregularity. And its inimaginable. (Make this scene and whatevr you believe is at the center of the valley").

Hexes- Use at least the equivilant of a 24 hex space and at the max a 48 hex space.

Figures- Any Ninjas that follow Eniar

That's all I have to say. Zyelos, I have to truly complement you on this. First off the idea is honorable to me in its self. But to categorize, create these tables, and everything else is just mind blowing. I must truly show a true thank you and and think congrats are also appropriate. This work is obviously time consuming and to do it for who and what you did. Its just so awsome. I also would like to speak for the contest itself. This will really step up our attendance and truly help it grow. I believe that this contest is really going to bring a community together in some small way. And you have only gone to truly give it a boost. This is just so awsome and I cant give you enough applauds and tanks. Zyleos you ARE the man this time around!

I still need an image of The Duke's winning entry from TC-10 and Hi1hi1hi1hi1's winning entry from TC-05.

For starters I'd just like to say thank you, I feel like I just won an Oscar or something.

And now to buisness at hand, I happend across this image of a bell tower and was wondering if anyone could confirm wether or not it was Hi1hi1hi1hi1's bell tower entry from TC-05?
