Heroscape custom figure bases

Hey all,

I thought I had made this same post already, and I thought I did it correctly, but because it hasn't come up on the discussion board, and I can't find it in a search I must have done something wrong. If this is a duplicate post, I apologize. I'm new to this.

I was wondering how all of you make your bases for your custom Heroscape figures. What is the best way to make bases that are similar to the game pieces? What type of custom base works best?

Well,from what it seems around here people take the base off another hs figure and use it or if a custom fig is from a different board game just use the base it's on already.

There is also the "Traveling Bases" thread around here somewhere. Someone made a very high-quality mold of all the different bass sizes and you simply pour a resin mix into it and bake it in the oven I think...You can get on the list, and eventually the mold will be mailed to you, you use it, and then mail it to the next person on the list. Or you can try and get some from whoever has it right now...

I noticed that many of the custom figures that are made use a HS base and was wondering what you do to get them, do you make them or take excess HS figures and denude them of their bases?
