HS Rogue Trader

Remember the first version of 40K called Rogue Trader? It seems to me that it could provide a model for an RPG variant of Heroscape. Anyone wanna join me in kicking around some ideas for this?

I remember a game that was clearly the *first* version of 40k, called Laserburn; Imperial troopers used boltguns, but the players used percentile dice.

But seriously, why bother? HS is fine as-is. 40k is horrid, but no-one is forcing me to play it. Having a few 40k custom units, now I can see the appeal of THAT. Pretty much the same figure scale after all.

Never heard of Laserburn. I'll look it up.

Yeah, I'm no 40k fan, I just would like to add some campaing/RPG elements to heroscape. And Rogue Trader was a really interesting (though flawed) balance of wargame and RPG.
