Thanks! Things are going as well as possible, which might make it sound like that still isn't as well as one would hope but actually need things are going very well! No big, scary repercussions from this, in spite of his head falling a good 8 get onto concrete.

The summer competition is just around the corner! However, I was given a great idea around New Year's, and want to gauge whether y'all want to keep the format basically the same, or if you are up for more complex contests.

First off, would there be interest in a multi-part contest. This would be more commitment for the competitors, and would consist of three rounds over the summer.

There was going to be a second off, but now that I'm down here I don't actually think anybody will be apposed to it. So basically I'm just asking if you want to keep the one off contests or have something a little more involved.

As long as new people can join each quarter (not restricted to those who only entered last Quarter) I'd be cool with a multi-part. I think the "winner" is less important in these contests than great customs submitted and fun for all participants. A "season" of sort is fine.

I prefer the simpler one-off contests. It's easier to jump in when inspiration strikes, and there's no sense of obligation to churn out a unit that you aren't completely happy with. It seems like a better idea to me to do a "themed set" of contests with no carry-over, or potentially leaving that as an option but not a requirement.

That said, I haven't seen what your plans for a multi-part contest would be, so perhaps it can address these concerns (like @lefton4ya mentioned, I think that letting new people enter each round would be necessary).

Are you are talking about developing a faction where the winner of the first contest should then be incorporated into the synergy links for the 2nd contests' submissions, followed by a 3rd contest where the winners of the first 2 contest are incorporated into that submission's synergy? That would be fine with me, as anyone can jump in or out of each contest. I wouldn't want to have a situation where once the first contest started I either had to participate in all 3 or not participate in any of them.

I'd need to have a clearer idea of what you're describing before I can even begin to judge. I'm sceptical, but willing to be won over.

I prefer simpler contests generally. I found the 2-design contest to be more difficult and more of a chore to go through everything to vote. But like LO I'll withhold being critical before even hearing the specifics. Thanks for running these, I always look forward to them!
