Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
4ground Games is having a great sale this weekend, with 25% off.
https://www.4ground.co.uk/# That's the company that makes The Samuels House that I recently assembled and posted pictures for. I also have The Blasted Tower set and others from their Ruins of Daldorr line that I use for Frostgrave and can use for Ghost Archipelago as well. The biggest scale they use is 32mm for one small Steampunk line I believe, but otherwise it's 28mm for most of it. Walking Dead is 32mm I believe and works well. The only thing is that you will want to get over the £70 threshold to get free shipping to the US. That's like $100. Otherwise the shipping alone is over $30. I had registered at the site so when I log in, I can see the prices to my address that is minus the 21% VAT that Europe pays. The code for 25% off is BLKFRI25. So basically, I just kept it in British Pounds and added stuff to my cart until I got to a certain point and entered the code to have it adjusted down 25%, and add more if needed to get over the free shipping threshold. I got more buildings kits for The Walking Dead. Emma's Diner https://www.4ground.co.uk/hla_woodbury?product_id=1326 Samuels Garage https://www.4ground.co.uk/the-chicag...smauels-garage Davis Jewelry https://www.4ground.co.uk/the-chicago-way/davis-jewelry Southam's Tobaccoist https://www.4ground.co.uk/the-chicag...s-tobacconists I got that stuff to go along with the house I did and some homemade industrial stuff to be used as needed on this neoprene set of mat squares I ordered from Deep Cut Studios. This will offer a ton of variety and options. Play 4x6, 4x4, 2x4, 2x6 or 2x2 foot setups. Will be great for solo play, small setups for demoing (I'm demoing it at a local convention in March), as we as taking whatever I want to game days or nights. Very pricey, as it ended up being about $120, but almost $40 of that was shipping from Europe. Oh well, that and the buildings are my Christmas present http://www.deepcutstudio.com/product...ad-town-tiles/ Hand of fate is moving and the finger points to you ...Iron Maiden - The Wicker Man TUTORIAL FOR RE-BASING FIGURES 3hrs 43mins 32secs = 1242nd of 8808 overall - 1988 Honolulu Marathon |

@Hahma
That is going to be one bad-ass board, once you get it all set up with those sweet new buildings and all your other terrain. I'm looking forward to seeing it. Actually it's pretty bad-ass without it, but you know what I'm saying. Great trades with Onacara, Gypsy, SirGalahad, elltrain, generalgina, Concord, Just_a_Bill, LongHeroscaper, janus19390, and the very generous obfuscatedhippo. |

Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
My daughter convinced my wife to play a game of Frostgrave with us today. We had 10 treasures on the board (I used Reveal Secret) and I got 3, my wife got 3, and my daughter claimed all the rest since she was the only one left on the board.
We'll see if my wife wants to play again. (She liked it but prefers the limited options of Heroscape compared to how much you can do in Frostgrave.) |

The Garage and those small shops should be pretty easy builds, but I think that diner is going to be another 4+ hour build. Doesn't have the multiple stories as the house that took like 6 hours, but it has a lot of finer detailing. Quote:
That's awesome Q! My wife wont' even look at a game, let alone play one, so that's great for you. And she did well in collecting 3 treasures. Hopefully she'll play it again and get into her wizard/apprentice and warband and share the fun with you and your daughter. Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
I recently got a double sided 6x4 neoprene mat from Urbanmatz. One side is called the Badlands and the other side is Desert. My only other mat is 4x4, so this one looks huge, especially when putting terrain out there. Fortunately many games are on 4x4 size and not requiring filling full thing. Ghost Archipelago and Regular Frostgrave are 3x3, so it is easier to condense to that size. But that's for 2 players. Going to 3 or more players, we'd go to 4x4 area.
So I'll need to make more terrain, fortunately I got a head start with a lot of what's shown, by winning some cool terrain made by the fellas at Chicago Skirmish Wargames. I do have a bunch of palm trees and bushes, so I can make some more cool stuff. I also have a Battlefield in a Box hill and a couple swamp pieces that I didn't pull out of their boxes for the pictures. I also have some Frostgrave stuff that can be used, as I didn't winterize it all. This size mat will be used to its fullest size when playing Star Wars Legion that will play on 6x3 of the surface. With this mat, it can handle forest planet battles as well as desert ones. Can also be for Halo Ground Command, and even a wilderness setting for The Walking Dead All Out War. Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
Good looking stuff hahma. That double sided mat is super cool looking. I built about 14 pieces of foilage/trees for my board but I think Im going to maybe double it. I found some sweet looking tall grass clumps to add some more variation to my tree and brush builds. Also found a couple of super cool buddha statues along with some angel statues that are going to go great with GA and FG. I also found a legendary blue dragon from ddm at the thrift shop for 50 cents. I just found out that model is going for 80-100 dollars.:0. Pretty exciting. I also picked up one more boat from hobby lobby. They have a safari alligator toob of toys in micheals that has a whole swamp full of alligators of the correct scale for 10 bucks. And they are prepainted. Also got a tube of carnivorous dinos to represent my smaller saurions. Got a tube of sharks as well.

Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
I've been working on 8 models for Ghost Archipelago off and on for a little over a week. I had just grabbed some out of the bunch and went at it. Only about 40 or so more, but that's including 5 treasure tokens and maybe a dozen creatures.
With this version of Frostgrave, regular crew can be equipped with a 2 handed weapon, single hand weapon or hand weapon and shield. But you can also hire specialist crew with those weapons and better stats. So I currently have seven of the eight that can be either, and the one with sword and dagger is a tomb robber. I didn't do the eyes on my Frostgrave warband members, but gave it a go with these. I really hate doing eye, but I think most of these turned out acceptable, though the axeman with the vest has a wandering eye. I redid it several times but it never came out right. So his name will definitely have Wandering Eye in there somewhere. Maybe Wandering Eye Willy as TREX suggested on FB I worked on a couple minor terrain projects between last night and this morning. One of the pieces is from the Masons and Brewers terrain set for Guild Ball, but they will make cool scatter terrain for other games. I have all of them primed, but just wanted to do a sample one before doing more. I also bought a pack of 1 1/2 wooden discs from Hobby Lobby yesterday, along with some other craft supplies. So I figured I'd experiment and use one for a base of a palm tree. I have a pack of maybe a dozen palm trees of 3 sizes, with the one I used being the medium sized. While I plan on doing some bigger terrain pieces with groupings of palm trees, I also want to have a few individual ones to allow for more flexibility in board setups. Edit: Here's a couple more pieces I did today. Doubled up palm trees (medium and small) on a single base, and painted another piece from the Guild Ball terrain set for the Masons and Brewers teams. Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
The palm trees are coming along nicely. Ive been pretty busy doing a bunch of different pieces today. Ill have to post pics in a day or so. I got a couple of cool statues I put together for frostgrave based and basecoated. I also started a few cool jungle ruin statues with glowing gems lit with led lights. Then I started a sweet sci fi piece for star wars also has led lights along with a couple more little platforms. As these pieces were drying I started some additional jungle pieces. None of the new pieces are finished but all are half done. Lots of exciting things to make.

Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
I saw that statues with the glowing gems on FB. Very cool and creative TREX!
I got one of my Christmas present deliveries today. This one is from 4Ground Games in England. I used a few of their Ruins of Daldorr kits for Frostgrave and can use them in Ghost Archipelago as well, as they are neutral enough color for multiple settings. I also recently (a few weeks ago) had assembled The Samuels House from 4Ground for use with The Walking Dead All Out War. So this stuff I got today will go along with that house when I get my neoprene mat squares from Deep Cut Studios. Last I checked, that package is still in Germany, on its way from DCS based in Lithuania. So here's a few kits to keep me busy for awhile. The Tobacco shop and Jewelry store should be pretty easy and maybe take an hour and a half each. I'm going to guess that the Garage will take maybe 3 hours, and the Diner will take about 6, as it has a detailed interior and some removable stools that are near the counter, and several booths. Of course, each of those little pieces will be each made up of many small pieces, as that's the way with 4Ground and their pre-painted kits. But they are great pieces and really solid when finished. Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis
Cool buildings. I look forward to seeing them built. Are you by chance a member of any of the star wars legion groups. I posted some stuff I built in those and tagged you but afterwards didnt realize if you were a member and could see them.
