Chimpy,

I'd like to get a thread going or see if you'd like to include this idea in your thread if you think it fits and/or is worthy of discussion.

Base a Competitive Army Around: Map Set Up/Scenario

I seem to draft armies that are great in theory but don't always perform well on the map. I'd like to get some thoughts from the 'pros' here to see what they consider (if anything) when drafting.

I'd say post them one of two ways:

1. Take official maps, something like this -

Base a Competitive Army Around: Durgeth Swamp

OR

2. Use terrain type, something like this -

Base a Competitive Army Around: a Castle Map

So basically, if there is snow/ice on most of the board, or a castle, etc. what do people draft?

If we go with the #1 official map post, we could then get into the scenario type too - for example if the goal is to capture the flag, or keep your army alive for x rounds, etc. what do you draft?

A couple of notes:

*After a two month hiatus, I have new thread up! Everybody is welcome to go and post though Concan armies!

*I would like my next thread to be of a squad, so try and keep suggestions somewhere along that line of thought.

*I will remind everybody that you may post into old threads as well as the new ones. For example, I can see some new Monk armies being played now that they have their own hero.

The Izumi are too old, it would be too easy. Plus its weird to base an army around that particular squad.

I vote the Rechets of Bogden! or any other vampire!

Base a Competitive Army Around Dund!

LOL. I would love to see people stuggling to figure out how to use this useless creature of Vydar.
