Re: HelmAverse Supers - Reinforcements Arrive
Believe it or not, we don't have ANY of those in our current various stages of design. And that's crazy because we have something like 15 new designs going right now...
Gh... Lo... Gr... At... An... Ca... Ma... Ki... De... Jo... Go... Ca... We... Co... An... And then we have the rework designs of Falcon, Psycho-Man, Abe Sapien and Liz Sherman. So your entire list is a blank canvas ready for brilliance. |

Re: HelmAverse Supers - Reinforcements Arrive
Lobo, Green Arrow, and Ant-Man in there?
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: HelmAverse Supers - Reinforcements Arrive
@Matt Helm
, what is you thoughts about Blue Beetle? My design is for the Ted Kord (because that's the figure I have), but he is completely different to the Jaime Reyes super-powered version in every way.
Ted Kord is much like Bruce Wayne. Rich. Has a lot of nice toys. Dresses up in a costume. Where as the Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle actually has super-powers granted by the scarab that attached itself to his back. The scarab provides armour & an arsenal of weapons. So what is the "lunchbox" version here? This really isn't like the different persons wearing the Batman costume. They are all playing in the same league. These Blue Beetles are a universe apart. Re: HelmAverse Supers - Reinforcements Arrive
I cannot believe you guys would even think there was a choice. Of course the iconic lunchbox version of Blue Beetle is Ted Kord. Blue Beetle has been around forever owned by multiple companies but it is the Charlton Comics turned DC version that belongs in the HelmAverse.
I think we have both pieces over here and the running joke in my house has always been that Ted is "my" Beetle while Jaime is "theirs". The boys both agree though that Ted Kord is the way to go. I mean, the bro-mance with Booster Gold is great. One thing that is important to us is scale of the figure. Certain Heroclix look way out of whack and it bothers us. The Dum Dum Doogan is classic ridiculous. There is also a Cyborg that we bought but he just dwarfs the other figures. More recently we picked up a cool Blade but while testing an early design, we stood him next to some Herocscape figures and were immediately turned off. The oversized figures are a deal breaker for us. In the end, the Blade design got tossed anyway. Undersized is also a problem. Spitfire is a perfect example and the first Black Panther figure we wanted to use. They both look ridiculous on a board with the rest of the figures. Ted Kord with the gun may be a bit goofy in his costume but his scale is good and he is totally lunchbox iconic. Thumbs up from me. |
