Wizards of the Coast Products

Hello, HSers
As many of us have realized, a majority of Heroscape's characters and designs have come from other games of Hasbro's past, such as Stratego, Heroquest, and Risk.

EDIT: Above info can be proven with this thread: (thx ranoobu)
http://www.heroscapers.com/community...ight=heroquest

So I've put together a listing of Wizards of the Coast's products. Can't wait to see the new characters for 2011 and on.

This is pulled from Wiki

Board games (produced under the Avalon Hill name)Collectible card games
Miniature Games
Online Games
Role-playing games and supplements
Standalone card games
Fantasy novel series

There. Now we know that WOTC is not just fantasy. (Axis and Allies, Risk 2210). Here's to spread some hope among the Classic fans.

Does this mean we'll be getting an NFL squad?

Just when you thought it was all right, someone made it alright.

Good trades with - Porkins / xraine69 / mac122 (x2) / frylock / Ztimster (x2) and probably others I forgotten to mention...sorry.

If you've ever taken a good look at the dividers, yeah NFL would have a good match up

You do know that WOTC is not going to make any of those in Heroscape right?

Re: Wizards of the Coast Products

I didn't get the point of this thread originally. I thought it was something like "look at all WOTC has to offer". Now it seems as though Majora's Incarnation is saying these games may get turned into heroscape, or hopes they get turned into scape?

As Ona pointed out, WOTC already had mini's for D&D thus the transistion to scape was easy, (for them).

While several of these games have minis of their own, the size and scale are way off. With the size issues from D&D, size issues with these other games would be like 10x worse.

Some of these games don't have minis. So to transistion them to scape would require new molds/minis.

It would seem to me, that to transistion any of these games to scape would require new molds/minis. If their going to do that, then they might as well just make new classic/core scape.

Your on the right track MI. Thinking outside the box, thats good. However I think the vast majority of us would just like to see a return to classic/core.

72 tournaments. 173 - 142 - 1 overall record. 6 tournament wins.

Yessir. Makes sense, I wanted to imply to others that WOTC in fact is capable of going outside their common fantasy genre, and that the new classic coming later will indeed satisfy. Here's wondering if WOTC will break the barrier on including more WWII units.

That would be pretty cool. Maybe a sniper team or something.

The thing about classic is that its essential to the existence of 'scape. Notice how all other licenses aquired by WOTC remains unaltered? WOTC wanted to premier 'scape under their name for the first time, and what's not better than introducing your most famous product? I think WOTC has a game plan, being in the business for the last 30 years,(i think), and concerning the amount of fanbases aquired, I doubt they would want to destroy their new product with a mere want to demonstrate ownership.

However if this thread is pointless I will allow it to be locked or deleted. I merely wanted to show others that 'scape is among a decent family.

Hee hee... Like there's a choice...

Don't think of it as being outnumbered. Think of it as having a wide shot selection!
